Although, I must say, that the idea of a human being insensitive to pain and hardship seems pretty appealing. Imagine what it would be like if we weren’t so pretentious regarding food, or we didn’t have to worry so much about getting sick… Would we have more time to evolve on a spiritual scale, or would we, on the contrary,just become more ignorant ?..

Well, we never quite address why people get abortions as a society, but I have in the past on the site.
However, I am not for the creation of government monkey men. Also, I always thought it possible to breed humans and apes, but I guess not.

I did not post this for shock value… then again, in my own way maybe I did. Kinda of a wake up call, I think.

Regardless of how disgusting a dead fetious/baby looks…there still maybe ground for having an abortion.
I don’t really know were I stand on this subject.
I think my general take on it is this: if you get pregnant, have the baby!
I mean, should be consider the ‘morning after pill’ as ‘quick and easy pre-abortion: quick and easy rule’.
Abortions should be banned - the ‘pill’ should be installed in every BEDROOM throughout the world.
Or we could just make everyone sterile and stick to artificial creation of people…
Now you can stop worrying about whether or not any of your chimp ex-girlfriends are raising little illegitimate Adl-monkeys out there.

What’s your reaction to the following set of fact/ideas.
In the US we have 1.3 million abortions per year! If you include mom and dad 3.9 million people are involved.
I live in a major east coast city that has only about 1 million people in it. So, every year another city would be born.
Now, I must conclude that all of these kids are unplanned and unwanted and that’s why their parents kill them. At the end of ten years we would have more than 10 million new kids running around.
If that happened then I don’t see it being a very bright future.
I have always believed that a woman has a right to choose. However, I couldn’t do it. I could never do it. I am 54, and if I got pregnant tomorrow, I would have the baby. Doesn’t make it right or wrong for others, just for me.
I still worry about the back alley abortions from when I was a kid. I think there has to be serious legislation on those who use it for birth control. Abortions should be very difficult to obtain. Very difficult.
Abuse of it is evil… as is someone making a choice FOR ME.
I half believe this, but I think that the west would collapse without abortion.

Does anyone have any ‘figures’ on abortion? What is the rate in certain states? I have no idea. And, while we are on the topic, what are the population growth rates?
Hmm…I’m now thinking wild ideas about Legalising Abortion to keep Birth Rates down and Population Growth in check i.e. low. sick story
Maybe if men felt bad enough about abortion they would wear a condom every time they had sex. Adoption is an option as well…yes, there are children waiting to be adopted all over the world, but not all potential adoptive parents have the option of going overseas.
Of course,a major part of our evolution as a species has been dependant upon our ability to control reproduction. If our numbers exceed our available space and resources, we’ll die off…whether it be through pandemic,starvation,what have you…
There isn’t the time or inclination for Philosophy in a survival culture. This part of the hiearchy of needs makes sense…
