IBS or Colon Cancer

I’ve been having some rather painfull and embarrasing symptoms reasently. I’ve been toi see a doctor but I want to know what you guys think. WARNING some of my symptoms are kinda gross, they include. Diarrea, stomach cramps, tiredness, nausea, occassionally I find a little blood on the tissue though Im sure this is due to the amount of times I have to wipe my ass at the moment (But its this symptom thats worrying me the most as well). The symptoms are releaved on defication which can occur up to 6 times a day at the moment. I’ve cut out coffie and tea, but dont think its a food intollerance because it can not occur for days and then flare up in the morning about an hour after I get up.
Infact this is the curious thing, I seemed to recover from all my symptoms over the christmas period. Then when I came back to work it came straight back, about an hour after I got there. I dont get it everyday, but rather everyday that I have an early shift or have to get up early for any other reason.
Basically it r ealy destroys my working life, Im getting paid to spend about 2 hours a day on the toilet, whilst this may sound good its not fun and can see problems arrising in the future if it doesnt stop.

Is there a Doctor in the house?

Your symptoms could be stress-related
Wheat/bran/gluten allergy: I had the same symptoms, and cut out all wheat - it worked…
Lactose intolerance

Get your doc to look into it, tho…

I think it probobly is stress-related that makes the most sense to me. If it were a food allergy I would have thougt that something would have arrisen over christmas. This also alliviates my worries about it being something more serious, does the discomfort from colon cancer take 2 week breaks in its symptoms?
I have got my doc involved she said it was stress related IBS but I have little respect for the health professionals at present, at least my local ones. They often miss diagnose. I belive that his time they are right but thats not going to stop my worries till the symptoms pass

No, colon cancer wouldn’t take a two week break just because it is Christmas  Do you feel stressed in anyway? stress isn’t always apparent, so even if you don’t feel it doesn’t mean it’s not there…

My wheat allergy was triggered by stress, but they were always there just not as acute as they are now :frowning:

Stress is a bitch! you may need to change job or lifestyle: inorder to really alleviate the symptoms…
