Mary does not give her consent to John to have sex with her. John then rapes her anyway. That violation is abundantly clear to me. You know, in a free will world. But if Mary does give John her consent to have sex with her but John doesn’t have sex with her…? Has John violated her consent? Is that what Ecmandu means?
