If the Human race was to comit mass Gennocide......

If the Human race was to comit mass Gennocide…

Why would they?

What would happen?

Where would they go? (Your metaphysical selves)

would this cause more harm than good?

What do you mean universe? I don’t think that the universe cares about us. The world would be better for people still alive after the genocide maybe, except for survivors guilt on a massive level. And given the immense pain involved in conducting genocide on the human race it probably isn’t a great idea.

You might be suprised how many species metaphysical/physical and otherwise “care” about you Humans.

And no your extermination would not be painful it could be over before you even know it happened…Easily. Offset the fusion, fision ratio in your star and cause it to supernova…Boom the whole solar system gone in less time than it would take the pain receptors in your body to realise it had happened…No pain. :evilfun:

But that wasn’t what I was asking.

I should have left the betterplace for everything else off.

What do you think would happen if the Human race comitted Mass Genocide. And why would they?

Newyork Times will run headlines like “Human race commits suicide”.

Seriously, what would happen if you commit suicide? How will that affect your family/friends, your society and the rest of the world? I bet that would affect only your family/friends and it would hardly make any impact on the society let alone the whole world. (Okay, if you are a famous person like Princess Diana, it might make an impact in some parts of the world, but only for a short time and the world will forget and move on).

So, if human race commits suicide (or mass genocide), it would hardly make any consequence at the Universe level. Even at the Earth level, there were many species that had come and gone (almost 99% of all the species ever existed on the Earth had gone extinct and there were at least few hundreds of millions of them since the origin of life on Earth). So, humans are just one more species who would quietly decompose without making any rumble in the Earth history. (Humans want to think that they are special but if nature does not think so, then our extinction would mean nothing).

Obviously, human extinction would piss off all those puny gods, as they would not have anyone to grovel at their feet.

Anti-theist would really look insecure if we decided to mass suicide to try and deny his existence wouldn’t we.

There are two people with guns to their heads arguing over who goes first. The one man a Theist and the other an Atheist. The Atheist finally convinces the Theist to commit suicide first since he’s going to heaven and the other to hell. So, the Theist drops dead and the Atheist drops the gun. :evilfun:

K, that was realleh evil joke, meh sry. >.<

Little did the Theist realize that by comitting suicide he was sending himself to hell…To be joined by the athiest at a later date. :evilfun:

May be little sad but not insecure. An anti-theist would know very well that his/her existence would come to end one day. On the contrary, it is the theist who would be insecure or afraid fearing what awaits him/her (hell).

Only in certain beliefs will you go to hell, catholics believe this, I am baptist and I don’t, I believe you can’t lose your salvation, but this is something I’m still studying into more. Both ways are very logical and derived from a scripture that two denominations interpret differently.

Doesn’t both me with the joke, I’m used to it.

Robo, are you then suggesting that atheists have nothing to live for? Not a bad suggestion, but I think many atheist will have different views however.

That is interesting, Club. If no one is going to lose salvation (or can I say everyone is going to heaven?), then what is the purpose of following scriptures, being moral and not committing immoral things, etc.,?

Guidelines in which to live by. When you have confusion of morals such as the society of today, you need a standard to go by like the bible. If you truly wanted to disobey God’s commandments and recieve heaven, you probably wouldn’t be saved in the first place.

that’s why it’s quite funny when people always act like it’s a job doing God’s will, no, if you have a good relationship with him you won’t want to do those things anymore.

No Club, I am not saying that the the atheists have nothing to live for. They live for what they personally think is worthwhile in this life but NOT what some old book says what is worthwhile or for the afterlife.

Club, are you contradicting yourself?

Then what do atheist have to live for if everything an atheist is composed of is finite physical material? What is the purpose or goal of Atheism, do you know? What is it you feel set out to do to us poor Christians?(I’m using my belief here so we can get more direct)

Actualy club even the Baptist believe suicide will put you in hell as it is an isulte to God who has given the life to you none but he may take it away.

And you can easily loose your salvation by realizing you’ve been indoctrinated by lies your entire life. Or by asking “why” to many times.

I know I have been Baptist, among many, many, many, other thing’s including but not limited to: Satanism, Islamic, All Sects of Christianity, Pagan High Priest, Chaos Magician, Budhist, Druidic, Athiest, Gnostic,
Agnostic, Morman, Jehova’s Witness, Hinduism, Etc, Just to name a few. Full circle from one end of the spectrum to the other and then finaly breaking into the center which in fact turns out to be the outer…

You can not form an oppinion of somthing until you have experianced it. Nor can you learn unless you experiance.

Anywho,

Your salvation is not a matter of belief in God to save you from hell but in your ability to save yourself or commit yourself thus.

No am not. If you live this way you were never saved in the first place, that’s what I’m saying.

At what point do you obtain full experience of something?

I am not going to answer your question. But I would want you to see that what you believe as the purpose/goal of life is one of the possibilities and it is very subjective. To call someone who does not share the same purpose/goal or life as purposeless or goalless is not sensible, in my opinion.

You can be an athiest and believe in the metaphysical. an athiest believes in what he can reason or understand. Not a God who is non-understandable nor explainable. An athiest can still belive in metaphysical evolution through death and in many other thing’s.

You should take up studying Chaos Magick. and Chaos Theory. Might open your mind a bit and hey…wait a minuete you can do it without violating your belief… Since it deals with purly explainable theories and methods dealling with science and metaphysiology, and nothing considdered “Unholy”. Or imoral.

Of course this is because the Chaist beleaves everything to be nuetral rather than good or evil…
