You nailed it. We, in the form of Science, killed God. You have managed to explain it such a way that you don’t have to be a nuclear physicist to understand. It must be because scholarship in Germany trained you just as rigorously in philology as our scientists are still trained today. I will never cease to be amazed by your accomplishment. Zarathustra WILL be seen as the most important literary/philosophical work since the bible. I am starting to have second thoughts about the eternal recurrence, however, but I suspect you did too? Most of all I have to respect your unblinking observations of the (this) world. I know how hard and impotant this task was too you, and it showed in an even greater insight than Freud. I try to emulate you in learning about nature, phlosophy, and the universe. The other day I was amazed watching a large wasp, angrily try to drag a dead spider across a trail. Later that same day I noticed a meteor streak across the sky. Funny old world, innit?
I would have said "Listen Nietzsche…what the hell is wrong with you…Couldn’t you have also told your followers “Life is also good and beautiful…and don’t listen too much to me because I don’t have all the answers. Wasn’t until near the end when I realized how wrong I might have been.”
You have all of these guys running around playing little Nietzsches…and no thanks to you.
I think Nietzsche would strike many of you upside the head, tell you to cease your worship of him and his writings and to think and write for yourselves.
