Of The Born Again

Zarathustra had been walking for quite some time when he came across a swamp. Foul air assaulted his nostrils and the sounds of swamp animals reached his ears. Verily he came upon an old man sitting on a rock, stroking a frog.
The old man turned to Zarathustra and spoke thus:
‘Zarathustra, I know who you are. My animals and I have long awaited your visit- we may be at home with that which is rotten but we are still capable of tasting that which is sweet and ripe.’
Zarathustra looked the old man in the eye and spoke thus:
‘Old man, this swamp is your home, but you once lived amongst princes and breathed pure air. However, you lost sight of what was great in yourself. It was thus that you denied yourself and your path- and ended up in this swamp.’
‘It is true’ spoke the old man,
‘It is true that once upon a time I lived far from this swamp. There was beauty in my life and no small measure of adventure. But the old ideal whispered to me and seduced me, and thereafter when I looked at myself I saw something fit for a swamp.’
Zarathustra paused for a moment, thinking, then replied:
‘Old man, my wisdom speaks thus to me: you must learn again to love yourself. Only thus will you leave all swamps behind.’
Thus spoke Zarathustra, and contined on his way.

i still laugh a how no one has objected to my mockery of their rationalisation of how infinity attains a limit.

Erroneous. Mathematically, ‘infinity’ is a purely hypothetical and unattainable abstraction.

Phenomenally, anyone attempting to prove ‘infinity’ has never taken the time to read the most rudimentary of science articles or reference materials.

Exactly what is your point here, beyond mental masturbation? Maths is purely highly rigid and specified linguistics for the attempt of refining phenomenal reality in overly segmented abstractions. It’s factually nothing more than over-reductionism due to the limited capacities of human conceptualisation and understanding.

if you didn’t mentally masturbate yourself then why are you posting on a philosophy site instead of having barbeques with your 401k and 2.4 obiese children? why dont you eat, sleep, shit and die? WHY? because masturbation is all we have… that’s why…

i am aware of the insignificance of this debate, but you seem to be unaware of common sense…

How do you know if the meaning you give to your life is right? Or is there no duality of right and wrong? What about when each of us decides to give meaning to each other’s lives and the universe as a whole? Sometimes we believe the other person has elevated our life and take on that person’s meaning about our lives. There are also subtle outside influences which we may not be immediately aware of which have influenced our conception of the meaning. Many times we get angered when someone else tries to give us the meaning of our lives which differs from the meaning we gave ourselves. We debate endlessly about the meaning of the universe, and those debates also can get heated at times. Our passions get lit up as soon as we encounter a force beyond ourselves that wages war with our views. We strive to put out the flames and feel the cool breeze by perceiving that we have defeated the other in an argument or going to the extremes of annihilating the existence of the other. What is this all for? We seem to want to become the holder of the sceptor of truth and reign over the kindgom of men’s thoughts no matter if we claim the truth is absolute or if it is absolutely relative, this is our goal. We want to grasp our truths with an infinite passion. And, one who holds power over the thoughts of men is a World-Historical Unique Overman. This Unique also creates the untruth simultaneously as he creates the truth, for his subjects form a crowd and the crowd is the untruth - only one attains the goal.
