The good cannot be objective. What do we mean by good? We simply mean like. What we are attracted to. How can like or attraction be part of the external, objective world? Impossible. Only objects can be part of the external, objective world, by definition. Now, some have said we mean more than like by good and more than dislike by bad. They say bad is a part of, or a property of various things they dislike - rape, torture, child molestation, murder, theft (some actions), poison, death, disease, illness, poverty (some things), depression, sorrow, despair (some emotions), ugliness, coldness (some sensations). If these things have a property of bad, what is this property of bad? They usually cannot define it. Even if it exists, which I doubt, it still begs the question, is this property of bad dislikable? Once again, it comes to subjectivity. Some people may like this mysterious, indefinable property of bad, some may dislike it. Ultimately, it does nothing to explain anything. Pleasure cannot be a part, or a property of the world, neither happiness, nor attraction or dislike. These are properties of subjects. In conclusion, good and bad are subjective.
