Showing in this video is a young child who paints with his fingers. Listening to him talk with his dad you would think him as any other normal child. Obviously, he must have some different brain activity that affects his perception and attention to detail.
People who study art work long hours to understand shading, depth and hues to get to the level that Zach has in the short years he’s been alive.
There has been studies on people who exhibit phenomenal abilitites in mathmatics, art, retention along with a myriad of other attributes beyond what is considered the ‘normal staus quo’ in our lives. It would seem these capabilities would have stronger attention placed on them to see how this may be stimulated in others to help with mental disorders or where some would need improvement in weak areas of certain skills.
He’s like an autistic savant, without the autism. I watched a show with some British dude who could do all sorts of crazy math and linguistic challenges; I believe he’s the current record holder for reciting Pi from memory, and he was challenged to learn Icelandic in a week, which he did (I can’t remember how fluent he was, but functional enough that the documentary gave him the win).
He ‘sees’ an object of each individual number for up to about 10,000. They asked him to model some out of clay one day, and a week later asked him some new, some the same, and the ones that were the same were exactly what they were the week before.
He also gets a ‘feeling in right here [pointing just above the bridge of his nose]’ when someone says a prime number; he automatically knows if multiple digit numbers are prime or not.
He can also do huge calculator functions in his head, like the Rainman; if I remember right, he kind of drew with his fingers on the desk while he did big numbers. He said he was manipulating those shapes he saw in his mind’s eye; what’s strange about that is my mom is a teacher and had an autistic boy who did the same thing when he did mathematics.
Now, I think he was born with this ability, but they interviewed some black guy that gained an ability after a concussion. He can immediately tell you the day of the week for any date. I once knew an autistic kid at my high school that could do this; I was born on a Thursday.
It would appear that at least some people could be rewired to make up for deficiencies. I think they probably do study it, but the problem is so complex we need a neuro-science savant to figure it out!
This child should be medicated immediately for mental-illness. It is quite clear that he is unstable to function in everyday society. But first he must be ridiculed and emasculated to ensure that he poses no threat for the status quo. After all, we wouldn’t want all those “adults” who suck at finger-painting and have spent their whole lives on the subject to feel bad for themselves, now would we???
Let us sweep this under the rug … send some ‘agents’ to this family’s home ( ), if you know what I mean?
Anthem, I believe we both seen the show concerning the young man who calculate large numbers in his head. His abilities were brought on by an accident which later manifested his visuals representing numbers.
If these abilities could be assessed more strongly, a lot of people might benefit from the findings.
