Is inflation good for companies that sell things, because now they can raise prices even more than inflation because everyone is used to prices going up anyway. Consumer behavior is still more limited from to having less money to spend, but at the same time is also less noticing of prices going up since they do expect it. So competition will have lower impact to control companies charging more for their stuff.
Also, companies charge more to compensate for the inflation, but consumers don’t have that option to force the company to charge less. It is an unfair balance.
I also think inflation is good for anyone who has a lot of money. They will put money in assets like houses and stocks, these things go up with inflation. Also they buy companies and now get to charge more for the same products.
Is this why 2% inflation is the goal, but they are happy with far higher? Since rich people run the world, they own the companies, so they want always inflation to push everything higher to always make more and more money, this displaces consumers more over time due to asymmetrical relationship between producer and consumer, with more wealth over time flowing up into the rich.
