The ridiculous overestimation and in general self-deception regarding one’s qualities, among them one’s intelligence, is brought on by the conflict of reality with one’s, well, you can call it, insanity. No, not insanity, it’s more like some age old habit where people feel upset at the mere thought, especially if provoked by others, that they are inferior to someone else. Shit like that, once serving a purpose worth no regret, creates tension which can become so unbearable for the tiny little powerless brain that one often finds oneself either deceiving themselves into thinking that they are more than they really are or that rank does not matter at all, though it is true in a sense that rank does not matter so much. Still, if one feels like one’s obliged to be something more awesome than one really is, then one cannot help but feel this pain if one wants to remain not insane. But feeling this pain, this tension, is the difficult thing. Much easier to simply freak out into denial.
People hating themselves for wanting to be better than someone else, thinking it is this desire that is bad when in reality it is their lack of mental strength which is what should be blamed.
Get what I am saying, folks? Don’t be fooled by my apparent immaturity . . . wisdom hidden there is, trust me, it’s verity.
Dumb is the man who fails to understand that being accused of inferior qualities is an insult and almost never an advice meant to help. Also dumb is the man who responds to insults with realistic observations. Insults are a means of war, a verbal replacement for what would have otherwise been a physical bloodbath, and so they are meant to upset and to hurt, not to help or to cure. Being realistic in such circumstances is so ridiculous it earns you an instant complete and utter imbecile badge, and what one should be doing instead is using one’s imagination to concoct a fiction of the other’s reality that has a chance of making sense, thus provoking emotions, hurting feelings and making stupid people doubt themselves. Bottom line, you want to hurt, so make shit up and don’t be bothered with what is real and what is not, what you mean and what you do not mean. If your lies are believable enough you can also add some reality on top of them which will only make them worse cause the victim won’t be able to shake off its pain anyways.
Dumb is the man who responds to insults with reality, for that almost certainly means he will confuse what is real with what is not. Insults are about fight, not about agreement. Dumb people generally unable to fight settle for agreement leading to self-deception. On the other hand, so dumb is the man who takes his fictions to be reality or a way to escape what has been said about him. It is necessary for one to accept one’s reality, whatever this reality is, such that one can be resistant to confusing reality with fiction. You must first accept your reality and then can you proceed to make shit up, about yourself or others, as much as you like and see fit.
So next time your husbands tell you you are dumb, you know what to do.
Nothing wrong with responding to trolls and flame bait with anger, provided it is within limits, not excessive. Dumb is the man who tries hard to laugh when he is supposed to be angry.
And then every charge rests on it’s opposite, and laughing at one’s tears is a sign of mature ascension to combat condescension.
The root of this is very deeply hidden in DNA,perhaps historic infallibility, or steel tested fragility come hell,
or, highwater.
Or maybe a need to connect, with a need to forget, all for an evolving sense of the requirement to do service to others. This last belongs to the third triad of #'s 1-9, but not to get caught. (on #8)
Yes Orbital I know, which is precisely the reason why I flow, from one moment to another like a bow, the whole meaning of this deep philosophy buried within a non-lyrical segragation of compositional inadequacies of hermenuistic tendenices well yeah that’s right it is voodoo people by prodigy:
Quite true. And intelligence comes in quite a variety of types. It cannot be measured on a simple linear scale from low to high. Such an attempt displays that “lack of”.
A reaffirming thought. Therefore, who can or can not 'hold his s…t together is the truly intelligent one. amost everybody i know or come across nowedays, presume intelligent fools nowedays just idiotic.
PS: What a shame. As for flitting from here to there,
, that’s what happens when the word gets out on the street that a liberal arts education is truly for the birds, nowedays. The next worry is over what the technocrats may think about it.
Why not laugh at pathetic lifeforms? Its fun to see their bubbling emotions especially when they act in predictable ways. Funny to see how powerlesss they are, and the more powerless you make them feel, they become aware of their own powerlessness, so to compensate they try to make a bridge to reality by resorting to “ill kill you” kind of talk, which is an all time pathetic low, because everybody knows they couldn’t afford the plane tickets and you can’t find someone’s house by tracking their IP. The only possible way a troll could stir up my anger is if they were actually true, or had high intelligence, which is rare and in most cases they are laughably off-base. Like for example if Eliot Rogers was alive today and I was on his hit list I would still laugh uncontrollably at him because he is a pathetic loser and it’s hard to take him seriously because his praxis is so juvenile.
Whether you are going to laugh or be angry depends on the reality of the situation.
Just because someone is pathetic does not mean he is not a threat.
Generally, pathetic people aren’t funny, so if they do not provoke anger or disgust, the most common reaction is indifference.
Laughing is rarely a genuine reaction. Most of the time, it’s pure posturing, a showing-off, and at times, a denial of emotions that are too difficult to feel, such as anger.
Eliott Roger, for example, is not funny at all.
Self-control is a process: you start with who you are and then progress non-linearly at a non-linear rate towards whatever is better.
The humor must be lost in translation. I don’t see the humor of a fat man beating his kids. Bad memories, dark places…
Whereas Eliot has a quality of being so bad its good. He doesnt have the unfunny qualities of most posers. He is so bad at being a poser that its funny.
Yankees have no sense of humor so no matter how much they try, or do not try, they will never be funny, they are boring as hell, just look at their sitcoms, especially the newer ones, like Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory. Friends are good but I’d take any random British sitcom over anything American.
I believe it is funny as a caricature of their repulsive American essence, without shielding by paper, and in their true 3d form, Americans’ repulsiveness exceeds the threshold for humor.
