internal consistency of reality

there is no known greater plane that reality’s order could follow other than itself.
due to this, reality can only ever be internally consistent - no greater standard.

there’s no known reason,
why reality couldn’t have an entirely different,
but internally consistent, ‘ruleset’ / pattern of events.

thus, our theories only need be internally consistent and in accord with reality.
there is no greater standard that we can hold our theories to,
or greater expectation that we can have of our theories other than the above.

( barring occam’s razor, as the utility of theories aren’t improved by unnecessary info / baggage - keep it simple:
the minimal amount of components for the theory to accurately / reliably / efficiently function.
it’s not really about certainty, that seems a fool’s errand - false confidence and disregarding possibility of ignorance / error / lack of precision.
does it work well and as desired? that’s the priority )

We know there is a huge difference between what is and what could-have-been.
Consistence doesn’t seem too difficult for me.
