Into the future

There are several questions that, to my mind anyway,
have the same rough basis, what does it mean to be human?

it has been often asked, why hasn’t man/human beings
seem to not progress since the beginning of time?
We don’t seem to be any better, more moral, practice
ethics as we should practice, we haven’t changed as
human beings since we have climbed out of the trees…
and one has to wonder why?

I hold that part of the problem lies with our need,
desire?, to have one foot in the past and one heading
into the future…Part of this ‘‘one foot in the past’’
failure lies within our inability to escape our childhood
indoctrinations of god, nationalism, of religion, and
of self… we can see this in RealUn failure to
have evidence or facts supporting his claim that
the West coast, or California, or SF, (that changes
depending on the day, or perhaps the minute)
that they are, in his words, ‘‘Shitholes’’ and yet,
he never offers us any evidence or facts for this
indoctrination of his…and therein lies the failure…
his inability to see past or beyond his fantasy of
a ‘‘ruined’’ California or west coast or SF… it has
no basis in fact, but because of his indoctrinations,
he can’t see past that… he can only see what
his indoctrinations are, not what the reality is…
his indoctrinations says, or really what Faux news says,
is that California/SF is a ‘‘liberal shithole’’ and yet,
he can’t even get past that… and therein lies a tale…
this is, in part, why human beings haven’t progress
very far from the beginning of time…human beings
mistake their indoctrinations, of god, nationalism, liberalism,
as reality when it is not reality, but a warped indoctrination of
reality… that is, again in part, why we human beings
haven’t gone very far past our original beliefs…
if we don’t have a true understanding of what is
means to be human, we can’t get any further until
we remove those false indoctrinations and beliefs that
prevent us from moving forward into becoming human…
as long as we have failed indoctrinations as our viewpoint,
we cannot move into the future… failed indoctrinations such
as there is a god and that liberalism has failed… every
single bit of progress that human beings have made
over the last 500 years, has as its basis, liberalism…
every single one bit of progress, be it scientific,
social, economic, political or philosophical, has, as
its basis, liberal beliefs or values or movement…
for example, what is liberal belief? that we are not tied
to the past for our values or beliefs and this statement
is tied into the overcoming of Aristotle as the chief
authority for all things scientific… to overcome
Aristotle as Scientists did, Galilo, Copernicus,
Newton, meant they had to overcome their
childhood indoctrinations which involved Aristotle
and his scientific ‘‘truths’’…
Aristotle held forth in the universities until
the 17/18 century, depending on the university…
to hold onto a truth even if it has been disproven
is a conservative trait… a rather religious trait…
part of being liberal is to overcome what is
traditionally believed in, what is truth is what has
stood the test of time, at least according to
conservative thinking… and that in part, is why
we haven’t progress very far morally or ethically…
we are still bound by the past, of past indoctrinations
which has tied us into the past, instead of moving us
forward into the future… and not just in morals and ethics,
but in philosophy and history and economics and politically,
we are being held back by a belief in our indoctrinations…
like the indoctrination of Aristotle being ‘‘The scientist’’
which is what he was called in the Middle Ages…
our reliance on the past, our indoctrinations,
has keep us from moving into the future…
conservatives pine for the past, liberals hope
for the future… and that makes all the difference
in the world…conservative values and beliefs are
tying us into a past, instead of allowing us, of
going into the future…
that is why we are still operating on values and beliefs
that are thousands of years old, values and beliefs
that prevent us from moving into a future of
science, technology, transhumanism…

We are reacting to a 21st century environment with
values and beliefs of the 17th century… that is
doomed to failure…

let us follow these indoctrinations a little bit further…

RealUn claims, without any evidence or facts, that the
entire west coast is a ‘‘Shithole’’ and that is caused
by Liberalism… we have two problems here, one,
showing that the west coast or even just California,
is a ‘‘Shithole’’ or even much smaller, SF… he hasn’t
to anybody satisfaction shown us that the West coast or
even SF is a ‘‘shithole’’ and the second problem, is
how does he show us, prove to us, that if this
were the case, Ca being a ‘‘shithole’’
how does it follow that Liberalism is the cause?

So, Realun has two separate and distinct problems, one
is showing us his indoctrination of California is true,
and two, showing us evidence that in some fashion,
liberalism has a hand in this condition of the West coast,
California or even SF… he hasn’t shown us this answer
either…

This is one way in which an indoctrination leads us astray…
it takes us from the actual truth and presents a make up
or pretend truth… the only way RealUn could present his
case about California or the west coast or even SF, is
by rejecting his already hidden bias/indoctrination and
see California as it is, not as his indoctrination/bias shows
him…

This is one of the reasons why we haven’t progressed or
moved any further into becoming human… we are tied
down by our own indoctrinations into holding a false belief…
as shown by RealUn indoctrination/false belief about
the west coast, California or SF… (he keeps changing it,
so, it’s hard to discuss this because of the changing nature
of the goalpost he sets up…as is common to conservatives, he
keep changing the goal post as to make sure his argument wins,
the truth is irrelevant in this matter, the only thing that counts
is the indoctrination or the false belief)

The truth only value is to support one’s indoctrinations or false
beliefs… whereas I see the truth as part of moving forward
into the future by holding to true or real beliefs, that allows
me to make correct or proper discussions/decisions…
a false belief will lead us into making a false assumption
which leads us into false and dangerous actions… because
those actions are based on false assumptions, such as
the indoctrinations of RealUn… if we were to act on those
false indoctrinations, we would be making a mistake because
to make correct choices, we have to have the correct truth/beliefs…
if we take actions based on false assumption/indoctrinations,
we will be making the wrong actions…

As conservatives almost always make the wrong actions because
their actions are based on the wrong assumptions/indoctrinations…
you can’t act correctly if you have the wrong assumptions to base
your actions on…

let us follow this out even further…

the indoctrination of there being a god, heaven, hell,
sin… are all indoctrinations that have no evidence or
facts to support them, and yet, people still act upon
these indoctrinations as fact, and as I have mentioned,
holding to wrong facts/indoctrinations lead us into
taking wrong/false actions… people take actions based
on trying to get to heaven, and because they are based
on false indoctrinations, they lead us into making
wrong and incorrect actions…

That to get to heaven, we must stop such ‘‘immoral’’
actions as in homosexuality and trans people and
even such things as plays, theater, dice, gambling,
are all things that people try to prevent in some
vain attempt to get to their false indoctrinations…

as for me, the point of the bible is that in order to get
to heaven, as such as it is, means we must be inclusive,
loving to all, try to hold to peace and not to war or violence…
if I were so inclined to get to heaven… I’m not…
but if we were to remove these false indoctrinations,
then we can then treat others as we want to be treated,
Kant, or to be treated as valued members of society/state…
by being treated, no matter who we love or our status
concerning belief in a religion… if we treat others with
‘‘WOKE’’ values, and we treat them with respect, decency,
civility, and courtesy, we ourselves are treated with
such values… and there is no heaven or hell or sin,
to block such values to work… to treat others with
‘‘WOKE’’ is to treat people with dignity regardless of
our own status… it becomes irrelevant for us to
get to heaven or hell, because we are acting with
positive values… and that is worth more than having
false indoctrinations… which force us into taking
wrong actions…

wrong indoctrinations lead us to wrong actions…
it is as simple as that…

Kropotkin, you don’t need to press the return/enter key when you reach the end of the input window box. This is not a typewriter. This is a computer. ONLY press the return key at the end of a paragraph. Imagine me hitting your knuckles with a ruler every time you even think about hitting the return key at the end of the input window box. Conversely, imagine me smiling, clapping and praising you into eternity (whilst jumping for joy) when you only press the return key at the end of a paragraph. Now that you’re retired and all your friends are dead, you have time to practice not grating on everyone’s nerves. Mine, most importantly.

Simple:

Then @Peter_Kropotkin will ignore it, “but but I don’t watch videos!!!”, then immediately begin demanding EVIDENCE!!! He’s ridiculous at this point, can’t be taken seriously.

I’ll tell you something more. I grew up across the West Coast. I saw the change myself. Before 2004-2006, when the Chinese Fent and Meth started pouring in through the Southern border, making them, the Cartels, and the US CIA filthy rich – the West Coast was in our Golden Age. It was beautiful. Beautiful people, beautiful women. High-trust society. Low minority population. Hispanics and Mexicans learned English. Everybody respected and admired the West Coast Anglo establishment (and Jews in Hollywood).

Now it’s all gone. ALL, GONE. Krappy, burying his head in the sand, doesn’t even visit Oakland, is living in the Past. He doesn’t want to admit his ideology and politics have utterly failed.

I’m not saying be moderate… I’m saying take what’s correct about both/all of them that makes them each contradict themselves because they DON’T take that part of the other.

Be extremely awesome, man.

Until then please shut up.

The golden rule is in every major culture in history. It’s transcultural. Just treat somebody the way you want to be treated. Unless you’re Ecmandu and you wanna make ridiculous arguments about flashing people because you wanna be flashed, and being butthurt when they don’t return the favor.

look at them and then tell me, does that look like a

Its possible that Peter K and RealUn are partially right and partially wrong about this particular subject.

Its a false dichotomy, saying “Liberal is the future!” “Either you must be a Liberal or you are a Conservative!!” There are more options in reality besides Democrat or Republican.

You could be a progressive futurist, which is the opposite of a CONSERVATIVE, while NOT being a liberal who believes everyone should have unlimited freedom to do whatever they want. Liberal is someone who believes in unlimited freedom for all, it is why liberal cities become full of crime and fent addicts.

So i was wondering what is the cause of Detroit dystopia as seen in robocop and such. The AI said this:

“Detroit’s real-life decline stems from the collapse of its auto industry dominance starting in the 1950s, exacerbated by factory decentralization, white flight to suburbs, and a shrinking tax base that left behind poverty and abandonment.

Key Historical Factors

Automotive jobs fled to suburbs and southern states due to cheaper labor and incentives, causing a 61% population drop from 1950 to 2010 and leaving vast vacant land—nearly 40 square miles by 2012. Poor urban planning, like factories blocking downtown expansion and over-reliance on single-family homes, worsened this as highways enabled suburban exodus. The 2008 financial crisis triggered massive foreclosures (1 in 3 properties from 2005-2015) and bankruptcy in 2013, slashing $7 billion in debt but cutting pensions and services.

Recent Status

Poverty hit 34.5% in 2024, with over half of children below the line, amid uneven downtown revival by investors like Dan Gilbert while neighborhoods lag. Forecasts predict modest 2025 growth from easing rates, but high unemployment gaps persist, and auto sector woes like slow EV sales continue. Crime and service cuts from the era linger in reputation, though investments signal turnaround”

the ai that said this was NOT GROK. the ai i chose is generally woke-ish and gives fair opinions.

i then asked the ai why california’s shithole cities are a shithole

High crime and poverty in California’s troubled cities like Oakland, San Bernardino, and Stockton stem primarily from socioeconomic disparities, gang activity, and understaffed police forces.

Poverty and Unemployment

Poverty rates exceed 25% in places like San Bernardino, correlating with higher robbery and drug offenses due to limited job opportunities and economic inequality. Unemployment above 8% doubles robbery risks, trapping residents in cycles of desperation amid deindustrialization legacies from the 1960s.

Policy and Enforcement Failures

Policies like California’s Prop 47 enable “catch-and-release” for thieves, fueling retail theft and business closures, while police shortages—Oakland at 1.55 officers per 1,000—create heavy caseloads and unchecked open-air drug markets. Homeless encampments and eviction moratoriums exacerbate squalor, driving a “doom loop” of fleeing businesses and shrinking tax revenue.

Gang and Drug Influence

Persistent gang violence in East Oakland and similar areas sustains assaults and homicides, amplified by meth prevalence and post-pandemic policing shifts that eroded trust. These factors push violent crime rates 2-3 times state averages despite some 2025 declines.

Crime Indices

San Francisco’s Numbeo Crime Index hits 61.20, signaling high property theft (76.05) and drug issues (78.85), worse than Los Angeles at 53.81 overall, though both exceed U.S. norms where safer cities score under 40. LA’s violent rate (761 per 100k) tops national averages by 21% in spots like assaults, ranking it 9th among 35 largest cities, while SF leads California in car break-ins at 41.2 per 1k.

National Context

Compared to deadlier peers like Baltimore or Memphis (indices 70+), both lag in homicides—LA at 6.7 per 100k versus Miami’s 13.9—but visible disorder like SF’s Tenderloin robberies (38% of city total) fuels “shithole” perceptions amid declines from peaks. They trail elite low-crime hubs like Irvine but exceed many mid-tier cities in theft and unease.
