There are several questions that, to my mind anyway,
have the same rough basis, what does it mean to be human?
it has been often asked, why hasn’t man/human beings
seem to not progress since the beginning of time?
We don’t seem to be any better, more moral, practice
ethics as we should practice, we haven’t changed as
human beings since we have climbed out of the trees…
and one has to wonder why?
I hold that part of the problem lies with our need,
desire?, to have one foot in the past and one heading
into the future…Part of this ‘‘one foot in the past’’
failure lies within our inability to escape our childhood
indoctrinations of god, nationalism, of religion, and
of self… we can see this in RealUn failure to
have evidence or facts supporting his claim that
the West coast, or California, or SF, (that changes
depending on the day, or perhaps the minute)
that they are, in his words, ‘‘Shitholes’’ and yet,
he never offers us any evidence or facts for this
indoctrination of his…and therein lies the failure…
his inability to see past or beyond his fantasy of
a ‘‘ruined’’ California or west coast or SF… it has
no basis in fact, but because of his indoctrinations,
he can’t see past that… he can only see what
his indoctrinations are, not what the reality is…
his indoctrinations says, or really what Faux news says,
is that California/SF is a ‘‘liberal shithole’’ and yet,
he can’t even get past that… and therein lies a tale…
this is, in part, why human beings haven’t progress
very far from the beginning of time…human beings
mistake their indoctrinations, of god, nationalism, liberalism,
as reality when it is not reality, but a warped indoctrination of
reality… that is, again in part, why we human beings
haven’t gone very far past our original beliefs…
if we don’t have a true understanding of what is
means to be human, we can’t get any further until
we remove those false indoctrinations and beliefs that
prevent us from moving forward into becoming human…
as long as we have failed indoctrinations as our viewpoint,
we cannot move into the future… failed indoctrinations such
as there is a god and that liberalism has failed… every
single bit of progress that human beings have made
over the last 500 years, has as its basis, liberalism…
every single one bit of progress, be it scientific,
social, economic, political or philosophical, has, as
its basis, liberal beliefs or values or movement…
for example, what is liberal belief? that we are not tied
to the past for our values or beliefs and this statement
is tied into the overcoming of Aristotle as the chief
authority for all things scientific… to overcome
Aristotle as Scientists did, Galilo, Copernicus,
Newton, meant they had to overcome their
childhood indoctrinations which involved Aristotle
and his scientific ‘‘truths’’…
Aristotle held forth in the universities until
the 17/18 century, depending on the university…
to hold onto a truth even if it has been disproven
is a conservative trait… a rather religious trait…
part of being liberal is to overcome what is
traditionally believed in, what is truth is what has
stood the test of time, at least according to
conservative thinking… and that in part, is why
we haven’t progress very far morally or ethically…
we are still bound by the past, of past indoctrinations
which has tied us into the past, instead of moving us
forward into the future… and not just in morals and ethics,
but in philosophy and history and economics and politically,
we are being held back by a belief in our indoctrinations…
like the indoctrination of Aristotle being ‘‘The scientist’’
which is what he was called in the Middle Ages…
our reliance on the past, our indoctrinations,
has keep us from moving into the future…
conservatives pine for the past, liberals hope
for the future… and that makes all the difference
in the world…conservative values and beliefs are
tying us into a past, instead of allowing us, of
going into the future…
that is why we are still operating on values and beliefs
that are thousands of years old, values and beliefs
that prevent us from moving into a future of
science, technology, transhumanism…
We are reacting to a 21st century environment with
values and beliefs of the 17th century… that is
doomed to failure…
