Do you folks on here believe a rational ethics is possible? Yes or no? Why?
You might be interested to read David Gauthier’s Morals By Agreement which attempts to provide a rational account of morality.
He attempts to work from basic principles of reason without assuming the truth of any moral intuitions that we have inherited from other ethical systems.
Of course rational ethics is possible. Read Aristotle’s Nichomachean Ethics or The Holy Bible of Moses and the Disciples of Jesus…
