I dont see that with God to be honest, unless if you count the belief in God as God, yes the belief also has an effect. But to me that is just a human tricking himself into being happy with misery.

That’s only partly true. If he believes in a god, he will care but not to the point where some others might in an unrealistic way. So perhaps the stoic would be the one to go to as he would cut through all of the meaningless nonsense and that could lead to a more valuable and real discussion, imo.
