Hey, Epstein had a lot of intellectual friends and many of them solicited some of his services. Chomsky’s working on his second wife and she’s old enough to be his daughter. Lots of geniuses give females attention. Einstein was married.
No, I just learned the lesson that democratic societies revolving around utopian idealizations are doomed to failure.

Do you believe that “democratic societies revolving around utopian idealizations” are doomed to failure or do you believe democracy is doomed to failure. I thought it was the latter.
I think that’s why I’m attracted to transwomen. MTFs are disproportionally autistic and high IQ.
I’m not a fag. There is something special about cis women that makes me feel romantic and sexual about them. But when I’m into the science shit I’m about MTFs. And there is something very beautiful about strong masculine features.
I disagree with your belief that all women are stupid. There are some genius Females out there, but there is a caveat. The smarter ones often end up having really high standards for a man, if they are even into men at all.
A majority of democracies are proned to utopian idealizations which is why they’re doomed for the most part.
There was the Icelandic warrior democracy of the Althing, but even that collapsed because of violent infighting, so there’s that.
Athenian democracy, death by oligarchy.
Modern western democracy, death by oligarchy.

I think we haven’t even given Democracy a fair chance yet.
Is 2026 yet we haven’t techno-ized Democracy. We have all these computers. All computer users should participate in Democracy, as the computer-owning elite. Not mere phone owner plebs.
You think we could set up a modern political system by now, but now we are still using shit from the 1700s. Why not simply create online polls and vote that way? Like “should we build high speed trains in america or shouldn’t we, yes or no” that kind of thing.
Yes. Three examples mean “always”. BTW, you didn’t answer my question about mowing the lawn. Have you replaced the grass around your building with astroturf or have you given up altogether because it grows back and now live in a jungle?
God, stupid people are annoying.
Or maybe he thinks that which doesn’t kill him makes him brilliant. This is why no one should be allowed to fall into homelessness. It rots the brain. At least it didn’t seem to help the people we treated where I used to work.
“There are some genius Females out there”
Oh, i know. Boy, do i know. The baddest muhfucka i ever seen at a philosophy forum is an old british woman who used to be a postal worker. And I’ve seen the whole spectrum of genius, haus. The full gamut. Put any of em in a thread with this old lass and its nap time. Legend has it that her professors were second generation Fregeans (students thereof).
“I think that’s why I’m attracted to transwomen. MTFs are disproportionally autistic and high IQ”
I couldn’t be attracted to a transanything, personally. Only if a sex change were performed and all signs of the surgery were concealed and the dude looked just like a girl and i didn’t know what was going on. But even then, i feel like I’d have a spidey sense that told me she was a he.
Mostly, this is a great thread with a lot of interesting juxtapositions. A rarity on these boards (except for my posts, of course).
Maybe we could do a book study. Victor Frankl’s “man’s search for meaning”? A tensionless state is not good for us, and it is not good for us to be alone thinking only about our own satisfaction or lack thereof. But if we are thinking about things from an eternal perspective, are we ever really alone? It is far too easy to get used to solitude and group silos and get comfortable…without genuine satisfaction (which is never from a lack)—maybe that’s why everything exists the way it does rather than staying uncreated?
P.s. I really love this song:
Meditating on that desire in myself, I find that, at bottom, it’s just the desire for natural impregnation. And I think the same goes, in principle, for everyone; the LGB+ are just misguided, though there’s nothing wrong with that—in fact, I think most straight sex(ual desire) is misguided or self-misguiding, too… (Using contraceptives is like eating with some kind of throat pessary, eating “solely for the taste of the food and the activity of eating”.) Also:
Sooner or later, sexual or “romantic” relationships are always a major headache. It’s not because “men are from Mars and women are from Venus”, etc.; it’s because “we’re all from Earth”: we’re not different enough, we’re all human all-too-human. I have now become exclusive to fantasy images, AI images for example. (No, not ones like the above; I think that looks terrible, actually.)
The End
I think it’s possible to be satisfied and still want things. Wanting doesn’t automatically mean you’re dissatisfied. To me, being satisfied just means being okay with your life as it is right now, not that you’re done wanting, growing, or hoping for anything else.
I think some people don’t say they’re dissatisfied because it feels superstitious or ungrateful, which isn’t the same as actually being dissatisfied.
Personally, I’m satisfied because I know I have what I need, and more. I know I can work toward the things I want, and I trust my judgment to recognize when it’s time to stop chasing something and let it go.
@OP
Satisfaction is when there is no more consciousness in the entire universe… dreamless sleep.
No way to feel bored, no way to feel negative emotions, no way to feel dissatisfied.
The other way of satisfaction is having custom, happiness brains, instead of homeostasis brains…
Niall says they are satisfied, but I have my doubts. Of course I can’t magically enter their brain and see what it feels like to be in their brain, but my opinion is satisfaction is something you get when you get high, and nobody is high all the time.
Not wanting things, is not the same as satisfaction. Lack of desire seems more like a melancholy than true satisfaction.
So you are about the “one and done” sex only once or twice until pregnancy is achieved.
Sounds a bit mechanical and loveless to me. Like a Darwinian script that says the only purpose to life is to replicate one’s code, like a virus. It seems to be, your primary objective is to continue existence, endlessly, while romance and enjoyment of reality is viewed as “misguided”.
Is it cause of the penis? You hate dicks or somethin’?
I don’t believe satisfaction is possible, since it’s a form of absolute perfection.
Consciousness exists because of dissatisfaction, BECAUSE the brain needs to discriminate, information, knowledge, awareness, to survive.
Actually, it’s the opposite, for a dual reason. The one side is that I use that aim, which I identify as the true aim of the sexual drive, in my imagination to arouse and enhance that drive in myself. And the other is that, by reason, I don’t want that passion to achieve its natural end goal at all. In fact, I direct those feelings of love, like I said, toward fantasy images, not real ones…
I do think that’s the closest thing to a purpose there is to life, to be sure.
Nah, I don’t think existence is better than nonexistence. But I have all eternity in front of me to not exist, so I might as well continue my personal existence (not my (geno- or pheno)typical existence (or: my genetic or mimetic existence)). To that end, I need some enjoyment, yes. Some of it, I derive from sexuality, some of it from gaming, some of it from music, some of it from series and films.
Disagree, on 2 fronts.
First front: Satisfaction is an emotional chemical state, and perfection is a vaguely defined abstraction. Its like comparing two different types of object classes.
Second front: Absolute perfection could be interpreted to mean monotony… monotony is boredom, boredom is dissatisfaction.
Also, your justification of your argument is mere Darwinism, which I already mentioned earlier optimizes for dissatisfaction, and I said the AI said that custom brains would solve this, by creating non homeostasis brains.
