And if so what age would that be ? And why ?
I would say 30+. Thatâs when you become more capable, more thoughtful and more understanding of the world around you. But of course it depends on the person, and what has occurred in their life.
23: You have almost all the benefits of 24 AND the anticipation of soon being 24.
Honestly, 18-20. Powerful enough to kill an adult, not powerful enough to be an asshole about it, powerful enough to challenge the world at its limits and yours, probably already aware of your mortality, but barely, enough to make it exciting.
Itâs sad that we condemn people to retard prison for 15 years before that, and we are all too addled from the experience to make the challenge a good one.
Every year brings a new and exiting revelation from God, and I look forward to the next ones.
They say thatâs the age of physical prime.
I think, at least for men, that would actually be Nialâs 30+. My destructive power, my understanding of my own body, how bodies interact with bodies, my mastery of it, all make any previous age pale in comparison. 30-40 year olds, even 50 year olds are the scariest to an animated teenager, for a reason. Thatâs true gorilla age. You also understand destruction itself better, understand death better. Life becomes less abstract for that reason largely. Less idealistic means just serious corroboration of the brain-stuff connection. The world is more computable, so you need to make less stuff up.
I found 24-26 to be an age of great uncertainty, but probably the best range of the 20âs. You start getting your first taste of what it really means to be free.
As I am 67, and some insights to what ages provide what,
the problem with being young, yes, one is at their physical
prime, but that goes away relatively early⌠by your 30âs,
you are definitely slowing down a bitâŚitâs not really
obvious but itâs thereâŚ
The real point is not how physical we can or canât be,
the real key is mental and psychologicalâŚmuch of the
ability one should go for and few do, is being able to
see things one cannot spot in your 20âs⌠for example,
women flirting, it wasnât until I was older before I could
spot the signs of women flirting⌠had I been able to see
that in my 20âs, I would have been a happier personâŚ
the things that make life better are not the physical aspects
but the ability to see and understand things betterâŚ
it is the mental aspect that allows us to be better peopleâŚ
and smarter peopleâŚ
we can say this another way, once you come into
feeling comfortable with yourself, life gets a whole lot
better⌠I was not comfortable in my twenties with
myself or what I was doing⌠but into the 30âs
and even 40âs, I slowly began to have peace within
myself⌠that is the real keyâŚit is mental and
psychological that drives our progress as adults,
not the physical aspects⌠as an old person, I can
ââreadââ people far better than I used to because at my
age, I have seen it all⌠experience counts as we grow
olderâŚ
so, what is the best age? all of them if, IF you are
at peace and comfortable with yourself⌠that is the
key⌠so, even at 67 and retired, I am at peace and
very comfortable with myself⌠my awareness of who I am
and what I am capable of, gives me confidence that I didnât
have beforeâŚ

Iâm not sure thereâs a single âbestâ human age. At 24 you have youth, energy, and a lot of possibilities ahead of you, but youâre also still figuring out who you are and what you actually want.
If I had to pick an age, I might say somewhere around 30â35. Youâre still young physically, but youâve usually gained enough experience to know yourself better and care less about what everyone else thinks. You get some of the advantages of youth without quite as much of the uncertainty.
Then again, maybe the best age is simply the one where youâre most comfortable with yourself. Every age seems to trade something for something else.
I wish that I was sixteen years old again but with my 42 year old mind intact. The things I could accomplish in one life!
You youngsters better enjoy your youth while it lasts. (Itâs extremely temporary and disappears very quickly.)
