Is this the most universally appealing new song?

I honestly dont know a soul that doesnt like this song…These guys should be employed by the Govt.

DONT WATCH THE VIDEO…Just listen to it…It makes it decidedly less appealing.

I usually gravitate towards much harder and darker stuff but WTF this song is nasty.

PS: Can someone tell me how to insert youtube videos in threads?

Pretty bland, inoffensive pop. It could lighten up your next elevator ride.

You have no soul. No soul whatsoever.

I did until I played that crappy song. :unamused:

Yeah, that song sucks.

Is that the record you chose for your car ride?

LOL I hate all of you so much.

The car ride never happened because we all couldnt agree on a single album. It started a big fight and I dont talk to my mom, my high school friend, or the dude who pumps my gas anymore. So appearently its impossible.

You are listening to “Kids” right now arent you? How can you not?!

Absolutley revolting.

I dont think any of you understand its complexities…

What about these two songs?..

I am not kidding. I honestly think these three songs are some of the best pop songs Ive heard in a long time. Simply brilliant.

You couldn’t agree on the music so you didn’t take the ride?

Seek counseling.

All of you.

Separately, of course.

You should have gone with Nine Inch Nails.

A musician that’s sicker than all of you.

What dont you like about it? Its music in its simplist form. I love hard complex stuff just as much as the next guy but you have to admit there is something extremely honest about this.

I like MGMT, but I’m a bit more circumspect in my praise…

Man, it sure sounds like he says “electric eel.” Actually that would be a lot better song.

They’ve got a Prince-meets-the-Village-People thing going on. Provided Prince got really fucked up first.

I heard bad Prince in there, too. It was that Sinead O’Connor-like vocal.

I like music that makes you feel good. I don’t like music that says “don’t feel”.

We have drugs for that.

Combining influences of past legends = brilliance

Also listen to the words. They are full of sincerity and emotion. I dont get where this whole “no feeling” thing comes from. You all need to listen to different types of music. Expand your palet if you will.

Rehashing well-worn ideas = not-so-brilliance.

I listen to all types of music. Just not all examples.

How is adding parts of Ween, Prince, The Rolling Stones etc a well worn idea? No one in modern pop sounds anything like that. Heck, few in modern music have the songwriting talent MGMT have.

Many indie bands take a while to gestate. You will get them if you listen to them a little more.

Real music fans seem to get them

Are you, elctro boy?

Edited. The other one is still online so I’m not sure why it says it’s unavailable…
