At another place, in another time…and the existence of the “Force.”

(In case the moderators are wondering, I have put this thread in the Religion folder due to the fact that both the fictional Jedi and Sith have religious belief structures that have very distinct philosophical doctrines.)

Always two, there are. Master and pupil. No more. :sunglasses:

C’mon! who would choose Yoda and Luke over Darth V???

One was a tiny green ball of organic slime the other was a girl!!

Hell all the “jedi” were girls… :stuck_out_tongue:

Mace Windu was a girl?

Remember, I’m referencing Samuel L. Jackson…not Mark HAMill.

… ok… i guess there is an exception to every rule… but i’m still going with the dark side… Those guys have kick ass powers (the lightning and all) and not to mention a much better sense of style! sinister but, cool :stuck_out_tongue: :sunglasses:

Definately Jedi. No question.

Jedi have no emotion…they are walking stones with the Jedi Code written on them.

No, they’re the essence of the stone - with no doubt as to their purpose!

Yeah, they have a purpose - to be sheep. They renounce emotion and personal will. In effect, they have no life. No joy, no laughter, no pain, and no gain.

The Jedi obtain power through understanding.

The Sith obtain understanding through power.

Which do you think is more effective?

Both are effective according to their intentions. To the Jedi, having understanding is the goal. Power is a mere consequence, a triviality. Real power is not power over others but mastery of themselves. They are not dead. They are real.

It then becomes a matter of image then…

Who’s more badass?

Well, the Jedi are ultimately more bassass. You know that in Star Wars the good guys always win eventually. Sure, Darth will get his licks in, but good always triumphs in the end.

Then again, only the Sith would ever use the Jedi Mind Trick on drunk women. :sunglasses:

Come now dear Phaedrus…you must understand the difference in philosophy that merely separates the two. Certainly you can fathom that the Jedi are infatuated with a dying illusion. They create light - light which would ultimately die. The Sith on the other hand use the ultimate constant in the universe - darkness. Light has limitation, darkness is forever…

Neither the light nor dark exist forever sage, only the force is eternal. The source.

Well everyone has an opinion…right now I’m in a level of disbelief that there are more Jedi than Sith…but I’m sure that will change.

Well Sagesound look at the forum into which you put this question. You might had seen differnt numbers in a different forum.

And I side with the Jedi.

If darkness is already the greatest power in the universe then it has little need of agents acting on its behalf.

I side with the winners. And we must remember that the Jedi are winners in the beginning and end. Who cares about the strength of the dark side?

Besides… Yoda seems to be everlasting, omniscient, omnibenevolent and damn near omnipotent.

And he can flip, like, ten times in a millisecond…

Think about that while you’re staring down the light-blade of my lightsaber. I have Yoda—just below God—on my side. All you have are a bunch of dead or dying Sith Lords to back you up.

But in reality, I am the force… take that.

I choose Jedi; at the very least, they have the tangy zip of being tempted by the dark side, rather than just getting the evil blow-off all at once. Also, something tells me that the rewards must be greater since they are so much more difficult to obtain.

No matter how tough they are, they Sith always end up with the lightsaber jammed up their ass in the end. The Jedi might be a bit too ‘goody-two-shoes,’ but there’s something noble about serving the greater good.

I would have to go with the Sith on this one. I’ve been a Sith fan ever since I’ve seen the great Sith Lord, Darth Vader. I believe that power and knowledge is great, and while the Jedi do have that, the Sith have ways of getting it on their own. They dont’ have to follow strict orders by their masters. Only when they are in training. The Sith, basically, do what they want. They don’t have a belief system like the Jedi do. Also, I think the Sith are more badass.
