In looking at religion, I must say that Shamgar is proof that those who fall for
the religious cults clearly are missing a few screws. I think of it in terms of an addiction.
Their addiction to god/ jesus is no different then an alcoholic or a drug addicts addiction.
A drug addict has a relationship with drugs and when it becomes the sole relationship
is a an addiction. It is no different with an god addict, their sole relationship becomes
with god and that is a addiction.

I just finished the movie. My head is throbbing. Watch this movie with caution, as it indeed literally hurts your brain.
Among the theories i have created as a result of this video seemingly reasonable and even intelligent people can rationalise their actions when starting from a blank belief perspective and asking themselves, “how can i get kids to believe?”

Don’t forget , even politics breeds addicts to it. A fanatic personality will cling to what suits its needs, an addictive personality will too. Combine both all wrapped up in one scary human and you got radical cultisms that can hurt your head. Amazingly enough people will follow such personalities. What is it about these addicted fanatic personalities that draws people to them like moths to flames?
This was on telly over here a few weeks ago on More4. It’s scary, but its also important to remember it doesn’t represent all of religion, just the extremists. Although I think something about the culture of getting children to ‘believe’ certainly echoes throughout all religious traditions.
The same with politics, sometimes the line gets pretty blurred between the two.
