Just curious...

Just curious…

At the bottom of the ILP home page is this:

[b]Who is online:

In total there are 9 users online :: 6 registered and 3 hidden (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 294 on Sun Jul 15, 2007 8:08 pm

Registered users: Bing [Bot], Calrid, Google [Bot], Google Adsense [Bot], iambiguous, pezermeregild[/b]

What the hell was it like in here on July 15th 2007, when 294 users were on line? Was this just a fluke?
ILP does not come close to that now. Why?

Oh, and what is Bing [Bot] and a Google [Bot]?

They’re programs that direct searches to this site.

I’d be interested to know that too, as although Sidhe was a member then I didn’t start posting regularly until some time afterwards…?

I wouldn’t call it a fluke, I think it stems from some sort of test thing. On most message Boards, the, “Most Online,” usually comes nowhere near the typical number of users.

I know there were a lot more users a few years back… so much so that it was hard to reply to replies, and then it all went quiet :-$
