Just look at these superflous people!

Everywhere! Nihilists! Decadents!

So don’t look…

By posting a 1 liner that you probably won’t respond to anyways, you come across as the very thing you are accusing the general universe here to be. Then again why bother? The answer… Nihilistic decadence?

So in that way I would say I approve of this post.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about. I’m drunk again- I need to stop doing this!

Don’t complain. If everyone is so strong and wise, then where would be the cake for you? Men are not born equal, so don’t expect them to be. If you count yourself the Nietzschean one, then command and conquor, motherfucker, live up to your destiny.

The question is, superfluous to what purpose? Towards what goal do you think that humanity ought to strive?

Cheer up emo kid.

Our goal now seems to be to create as many redundant copies of ourselves in the shortest possible time, each aspiring to limitless wealth, with little consideration for the impact this is having on the natural world. Each new body is little more than a new soldier drafted into the human war against nature.

Most of us are superflous because we offer next to nothing to the scope of human knowledge and experience that hasn’t been offered before.
If 99.9% of the humans on the planet today suddenly died, science and technology and culture could carry on just fine, and the natural world would gradually recover from our massive, unsustainable burden.

isn’t this the sort of thing that LEADS to nihilism?
the younger generation not seeing in the forms the same meaning or purpose the older one has pursued so purposefully.

and isn’t ‘superfluous nihilsm’ something like an oxymoron?

There’s actually no such thing as nihilism, it’s just another game played with words. A specific use of language in order to convey the same commonplace opinions and attitudes.

I’ve never met anyone that came close to a nihilist, even our own self appointed ‘Nihilistic’

You’re being very nihilistic about this, OG…

well, lets say thats what it is: an attitude.
so how is there no such thing as nihilism?

and you’d both meet a nihilist if your categories weren’t so either/or.

If the majority of people see their lives as ends in themselves rather than as means to some greater purpose, then there is no real justification for their lives, they do more harm than good to the world in general, and so are superflous, like a virus.

What I described isn’t nihilistic in that it’s a system that’s based on methodical unbridled greed and plunder.

Why don’t my quotes work?

If I died tomorrow I would surely miss me, so I guess that makes me nonsuperflous, Cuz I am important to my family and I (I’d really like to think so at least) I think that is justification for my existence I am important in my world.
