King Kong

I just finished watching King Kong and I am still recovering. If my friend wasn’t in the room I would have started crying at the end.

That story is one of the most beautiful metaphors I have ever come across.

Who wants to talk about it?

Hey 'Trop, why don’t you write a review in the Review Thread? I’d be interested to hear what you liked about it so much and why.

(PS I haven’t seen it or know anything about it, so I can’t contribute. I’m not TheAdlerian, you know =P~ )

King Kong was an amazing film.
Why Naomi Watts hasn’t won an academy award yet I’ll never know. I’m still pissed she was snubbed when she was in Mulloland Drive.

Sorry - still like the black and white version.

I have to say that the ape in the original 30s version moves more like an ape than the one in the trailers and clips I’ve seen from the new one…

I thought Naomi was great in muholland drive … it’s one of my favorite movies.

I don’t know how great of an actress I think she is though.

Naomi is so in the moment everytime I see her in a film. Mulholland Drive was her best work though. In that movie she had two very different parts to play and some very challenging scenes and she pulled them off perfectly.

i saw it on my own, was killing some time, and i completely forgot i was in a cinema, at some stage in one of the creepy tribe people scene i jumped so much i screamed out loud, it wasnt even a scary bit, i’ve never been so embarrassed in my life!!!

I found some of those giant insect scenes to be quite creepy. Especially when Naomi was in an inclosed area with the gian centepedes. ::shudder:: :astonished:
