I discovered the prime motivation of my life, after much soul searching, and it is this;
to be appreciated for my thoughts.
My secondary motivation? To comprehend everything
I hate my primary motivation but can’t help it.
i know all of us are different
But what is your primary motivation? Is it sex, food, rationality, reason, and if so, can you define what you mean
It’s a little odd with me. Any motivation to know my self is finished and you are the medium through which I express whatever is there that you motivate.
Can you rephrase that so i have a better picture of what you mean?
The reason i’m asking is because if we can study the self, it will take out unnecessary agendas in our search for truth
maybe we can classify the motivations of the self in different classes

No? It’s not narcissistic to want the world to recognise your thoughts like the pool recognised the face of Narcissus?
Aren’t most artist, writers, and poets, vain when they want appreciation for their thought which lies in their art?
And if there are others like me, can we classify this
Oh yeh, I never said it was a bad thing. It’s a natural inclination, just exhibited in many ways.
I think there is a difference between vanity and desiring affirmation.
Wecan change the techniques, we can change the teachers, but basically and essentially, the very teaching that we are using to reach your goal is the obstacle. It doesn’t matter what teacher is followed. If you question the teaching, unfortunately, you have to question the teacher himself – but then comes the sentiment: “Something is wrong with me, one day I am going to understand.” If it is not possible for you to understand today, you are not going to understand at all. So the understanding is the absence of the demand for understanding – now or tomorrow.
Now, there is no understanding necessary. The understanding is only for the purpose of understanding something tomorrow – not today. Today you don’t have to understand a thing at all. And when that is the situation you find yourself in, then the world as it is there before you is the truth in action right before you.
My primary motivation is one of two things, which one, I do not know. It is either to be reincarnated as a woman’s bicycle seat, or to maintain and promote the existence of this body–either way, I am in it for the ride.
