It’s fall here these days and there seems to be a million lady bugs around. Enjoy.
ah, the ladybugs are out in strongbadia.
beautiful picture.
thanks. I dunno why, but I do love ladybugs.

I want to see more of his shell. I’m a sucker for textures and colour and the shells of insects are phenomenal.
(We call them Lady Birds here for some reason???)
.
There you go km2_33, it’s another one I shot one the same day. Unfortunately it isn’t as close as I could have wished but one can only be so macro.
I don’t know what accounts for the ladybug/ladybird divide.
cheers,

they look almost machine like, and they are so fat, but small at the same time, kind of like the new smart cars or something.
Thanks gemty. Here’s one I found on the net. I was looking for a close up of the shell but didn’t find what I was looking for. This one came the closest and even it didn’t carry the vivid depth of colour the original showed in Photoshop. Nevertheless, it’s still very beautiful.
I forget exactly… I think if you find one with 7+ spots on the wings it’s unlucky.
I have always been really drawn to macro photography. I think it’s because when you get that small its an entirely different world.
I think that macro is one of photography’s most powerful areas. These images show a totally different view of the world, one that you can barely see even with the naked eye.
Now all I have to do is be able to afford a good macro rig… someday.
cheers,
