Is there a term for it, our an understanding of what happens to a person when they think at night to when a person thinks in the morning? Do our brains become so tired that our thoughts lose and sometimes actions lose inhibitions? My examples have been deciding something to wear but the next morning caring to much about what people will think if I wore it. Or typing something up at night and posting it on a blog or sending someone a message, then regretting what I said or even the fact I did it in the morning? What causes this?
I used to never be able to sleep because I’d look at my alarm clock, and based on what time it said I would add, subtract, multiply or whatever with the numbers and find meaning in the results. I could do this forever. About 5 years ago I finally started turning it around where I couldn’t see it and vowed not to let it keep me awake anymore. I don’t know if this relates to what you’re talking about.
About your example of worrying what others would think about your clothes… You might try intentionally wearing things that you know people wont like. This could be very interesting…
God smears…
Thats badass. I thought I was the only one who thought about crazy things like that; maybe we have ocd?
I did wear a holister shirt once with a collar that I couldn’t fold down, so in fact at least 10 people came up to me that day and said put your collar down you look like wanna those popped collar douche bags.
It’s possible. I suggest refusing the meds if they offer them to you. They’ll stifle your creativity and you might not like not feeling like yourself.
And yes, popping a collar can lead to perceptions of douchebagness. I’d do it anytime there are people around who don’t approve.
Our bodies and our minds can become fatigued at differnt times, and yes we lose inhibitions when we are mentally exhausted. we actually lose control. We need REM sleep to rest our minds. Regular sleep rests our bodies. It seems to me when we lose control due to fatigue its our mind’s way of saying hey, idiot body, you play, I am taking a nap.
If your body is fatigued but your mind is not, this can lead to tossing and turning and failure to sleep. This is exhausting to both body and mind.
My remedy for that, is to create an imaginary world, develop it ,as I lay in bed. Concentrating on this allows me to exhaust my mind faster in order to be in concert with my body. Doing this creates interesting dreams also.
Cool… never thought of it like that. Thanks Kris.
