love, lust, and romance

right now for my own purposes am exploring, the definitions, the boundries, and the different understandings of the concepts of love lust and romance… if anyone wants to post their thoughts on any of these subjects or say lust vs. like feel free  i know this is rather broad, but i havent come to a specific question i wish to ask about any of these subjects.

Love is freedom of the spirit.
Lust is entrapment of the spirit.
Romance is the spiritualizing of the physical.

(No one will even quote these associations.) :stuck_out_tongue:

If you have nothing specific to say yourself, why propose that other might have something specific to say on your broad topic? I.e. Why post this thread now when you have nothing to say on it?

Well put!

Seems right mr real name, and romance works as the bridge between lust and love. Between hell and heaven stand the romantic poets who are always darker than common marketplace taste; Blake, Skakespeare.
There is romance in the trip from heaven to hell as much as vice versa. Maybe more even. Movies are generally made of two parts; a fall and a climb. Usually the beginning is more romantic than the end to me; The whole world is still open, there is more intimation, less decision.
I think Romance is best undecided and closed off. The scene where they get to know each other but dont know what the hell to make of it going so well when they are, suddenly, together in a closed off space. That is where the heart of a romance resounds. The strangeness. By the time the movie gets going well the curtains could come down for once. Leave the crowd wanting conclusion, with the vision to do what they aren’t allowed to see. Romantic invokation of the audience to transgress from bondage to liberty.

(I read first: Lust is enhancement of the spirit.)
