It all depends on how it’s opined: nurture or nature; genes or memes.
Very hard to decide why God allowed such choices.
There is also some hidden inverse proportionality here for some love most the ones they fear, and even vica versa

fear = respect
Just like you don’t have to feel anything to show love, the same is true to show respect/deference.
The sort of fear perfect love casts out (1 John 4:18) is tied to attachment to what is fleeting, and is fear of punishment. If you have been salted with fire, false/disordered attachments have been dealt with. It’s a process.
Seeing as you’re not perfect yet, we are on equal footing there… so what’s bothering you?
