Is it just me, or has mainstream musical artists shied away from producing anything in comparison to the late 60s/70s era of psychadelic music? notably artists like pink floyd, greatful dead, or led zeppelin. I understand some artists these days still have psychadelic producing qualities, like phish, dave matthews, or even the mars volta; who can produce some awesome musical riffs. maybe i just missed the boat… i guess i just miss those 3 minute clips during pink floyd songs where no singing is occuring, just the sound of delightful electronics.
