Honestly… I’ve been following these little pup for years, they seem headless… which is always discomforting, but worst, are scary, creepy little acrobats able to do flips and land, and keep on running.
Admittedly loud as hell, as a pack running through the woods, leaping off logs and rocks, scares the hell out of me. These little buggers are defenless, in the sense of weaponry, but that’s easily fixed. You don’t always need stealth, and sometimes it’s A-OK to let the enemy know where you are.
Example… let’s say some guys are held up in a compound you can’t for whatever reason bomb from the air… having 15-20 of these ronotic dogs running around constantly doing ground surveillance in the desert or woodland around it would offer near constant, real time surveillance, expendable cannon fire, and more or less seal off any respectable avenue of ground retreat. I’m not running through a fucking forest full of these things, they scare the shit out of me. Its a effective ground cordon, one that can be kicked out the back of a aircraft, land, and rumble even prior to standing up a effective human cordon. Instead of dropping 20 bomb, you can drop 20 of these on them… switch out between quiet time, and running amuck. Keep everyone agitated all night long, wondering where the Special Forces guys are going to strike.
Yeah, carry stuff on rough terrain isn’t hard, just get a standard issue Ahkio, slap retractable tracks on either side, and a lawnmower engine can power it… it’s simple to make with existing technology… or he’ll, just get some para bikes, the kind that fold in half, and put your 50 Cal’s slinged on them… that’s under $200 potentially there.
But nobody is scared of a ahkio or folding bicycle, but everyone is scared shitless of these little things. I know how loud they are, but can imagine all sorts of uses. 100,000 of these running laps around the Kremlin… a million in the countryside… 100,000 troops in support… all dropped in the nights before, catching everyone off guard. Its a fantastic option to have.
