Know that such instances of history are merely forms of collateral damage for the deceptive illusive fleeting dreams of convenience, luxory, comfort and a artificial sense of calm realities like this:
people tend to belive that if there werent people starving and doing slave labour in different places around world then they couldnt have these little luxuries but tis the fat cats that make all ze money.
At what point do we not admit that man is just passing time in trying to arrogantly play or become god the very insane myth that he has created in his own image?
It the end, couldn’t we say that man is surrounded around a uncertainty that he so despises since it is out of his very control?
In the end man seems to desire in becoming a omnipotent or omnisicient god as far that his hand can reach anyways.
Isn’t it funny that apart of our fake idols and heroes we come to demonize the few who rebel against the system?
The rich industrial media who hold sway over national interests will tell you that these people are filthy scum to be rid of with a society aspiring to so called greatness.
They will say that such people belong in prison or the electric chair.
But behind every criminal like everyone else, aren’t people just trying to survive any way they can aspiring towards this?
It feels like looking at an old mirror you dug up somewhere in a barn. I go: “Who was like this? What did they want? That’s me, right? No wait. You mean someone else? Are you sure?”
I used different tactics. I used this, and this, and this.
And I asked myself again and again. “Why isn’t it doing anything. Why isn’t it forcing us to change? Why does anyone believe they have a rightful choice in these demands? They deserve to suffer for their arrogance”
And there was no way it would stop there. Nobody listens. Nobody cares. Well maybe they shouldn’t care if I torture and kill the people I hate so much? And forget forgiveness. I have never believed in forgiveness. It’s a word to tell us to assume the non-truth. That we should have no desire appropriate to the issue. That our responses are meaningless.
At a fairly young age I feel old and withered from the struggling and crime. And I contend with the fact that I did rise up to smite the devil who fucks with our kids, who worships booze, who thinks his manhood means superiority. I wouldn’t do it differently.
After all this effort, I have no real knowledge. I have no discipline. I see little meaning around me. I see islands of successes amidst terrifying failures. I can’t sleep at night alone. I might stay up wandering alleys. But wasn’t I supposed to be strengthened by all of this?
I live vicariously through these new likenesses. The fellow haters, with purpose in their hate. Not to be confused with anger.
My only suggestion to all those wanting to plunge themselves into this horror, they must force themselves to take a formal discipline as trivial as it would seem. Not as their “more productive means” to fight the evils, with less disagreement. No, they will do that just as they see fit like a real person does- against a herd of lions in the den. But those with a simple background in the industry will carry their own weight despite the fact that they would die to carry everyone else’s as well. How about electrician? welder? . . . these abilities are not “giving in.”
Perhaps the great human problem is that we progress from adolescense into adulthood the wrong way around. We should be angry. We should even be dangerous. But we should have the skills of a builder first.
So you are saying that human society is corrupt and we should abandon all hope of living a just and fair life beyond that of animals, out vision of utopia or simple an equitable society is far beyond our reach?
No hope for redemption eh? Might consider me an idealist or an optimist but I believe that society is NOT fundamentally flawed but instead has potential beyond what we have achieved. Are we there yet? No. Can we get there? I would like to think so. Capitalism is flawed, especially in the current state of things, thus critiques avail and when something comes along that can surpass its effectiveness we will go for it. Globalization is posing real issues, the reason there is so much debate going on as to it’s true effect.
But, the issue remains that the people that identify this condition aren’t in any way shedding it. You maintain that society has failed and we are doing much more good that evil… yet you still reside in it. Want to make a point? Lead by example, and thought shall be delivered from this t a lot yranny.
Not to address EVERY point, but here are just some intial thoughts on some of your comments. Make an argument and perhaps I can respond to it more adequatly:
The mere fact that you can examine this point and I can refute it suggests there differently. Tell this to a housecat or a baboon or a paramecium and the response won’t be the same as it would be to me. Might need to reconsider what you consider humans to be, because while we are animals we are clearly unique among animals.
The is inequality because people have antiquated notions of equality. Equality isn’t reality not because of people wanting to maximize their own revenues but that they felt only certain people should be equal to them in that respect.
Genocide is a very tricky issue that has more to deal with political and ideological goals than money. Did Hitler profit from exterminating 8 million Jewish citizens? I think it would be hard to evidence that it was a monetary gain, yet many are willing to wager that it was effective in rallying majority support within the German people for his platform.
My grandfather died of a series of strokes. Had NOTHING to do with money, heart defect from birth that finally caught up with him. The suffering of loosing my grandfather profited no one. Sometimes bad things happen, and because we can reflect on them suffering is the result.
Injustice is caused for any number of reasons. Limiting this to economic goals is a very interesting goal…
The atomic bombs dropped on Japan where used instead of losing the estimated 1 million Japanese lives and 100 thousand American soldiers that the required invasion would have resulted.
And WWII had so many causes that to say it was initiated to attempt to gain a fleeting dream of convenience may be a hard point to prove. I think the survivors of the Poland invasion may agree wholeheartedly.
And the very basis of society is that people produce and consume goods, however this is managed is irrelivant to the fact that society hinges on some form of market or distribution.
And I do think individuals care about me. There are many people that care about me, some merely as a means to their own goals and some intrinsically… they care about me in spite of their own goals, intrinsically. Is this everyone? No. But point to me one instance anywhere where every individual within a species ‘cares’ for every other individual within the species. Resources and effort can only go so far.
Yes, yes I am. I am not sure what else to say to this.
And given time I would like to see equitable things happen for Rebecca. Provide me with a more humanistic way to purchase shoes and I will be on board. (btw, just checked. My shoes are made in the USA. I am sure general labourer Stan makes more than .75$ an hour.) Stating the current situation sucks is an obvious. The need for change is there, the key is to accept change can happen.
We are worshipping ourselves? I find this hard to even understand, let alone agree with.
The goals we set, society sets, are always open to change. Is globalism the issue? Then perhaps free trade relationships are the way to go… and are already in place. Is the exporting of meanial labour the issue? Then perhaps the creation of worldwide human rights is the issue… and is a work in progress. Is an ideological loss of purpose or meaning in life the issue? Then perhaps a return to a lifestyle guided by moral principles and ideological goals is in order… humanism or religion both seem adequate when applied properly.
How does suffering and consumerism lead us to divinity?
I am not trying to play God within my own life, I am not sure what kind of metaphor you are abusing here but it is lost.
Generalizations! One groups demon is another idol, and vice versa.
I beg to differ.
Based on whose definition of utopia? There are many abound, and some are more achievable than others.

Within this smear of statements you have just generlized one viewpoint within the USA to be representative of the whole, and the viewpoint of the USA to be representative of the whole. In essence, you have just compared the housewife in Denver to the fisherman in Fredricton to the buisinessman in Kent to the factory worker in Ulm and decided there is no distinction between any of their ideologies, habits, goals or lifestyle.
And in the end, can I ask a very self-evident question? “What is your point?” You condemn society… great. So have so many others. The difference is rather than the assumed (at best) goal of your to crawl back into the jungle others offer a way to either change the state of things or evaluate how it is unavoidable on some scale. You make a somewhat decent case of some pressing issues, what beyond this?
I personally just see a bunch of sadistic sorcerers, alchemists and magicians everyday taking a beautiful free thing like life, transforming it into a privelege or commodity that can only be afforded by enslavement to other men’s vicious insanity.
