Military invasion of Minneapolis

It seems clear that IQ45 will order an ‘‘military invasion’’
of an American city… based on the fact that it was ICE
itself that created the current conditions…
having been born in Minneapolis, and having family
in Minnesota… I can state that Minnesotans are the
nicest people you will ever meet… and it takes a lot
to piss them off, but once that is done, they won’t stop
their demonstrations against ICE for anything…

but we get to the bigger picture, since when is the military
invasion of an American city/state, ever, ever justified given
that the people in Minnesota haven’t done anything wrong…
they haven’t declared their independence, they haven’t
refused to pay their taxes… People in Minn, obey the law,
that is built into being a Minnesotan… we think of others before
ourselves, and most of all, we treat people like human beings,
not as an es/object, as the GOP/MAGA crowd believes that
unless you are white and Christian, you are less than nothing
in the eyes of the GOP/MAGA crowd…

and if they do invade, what is to stop them from federally
invading any other city, they deem necessary to invade?
One of, well actually one of many problems with this idea of
invasion, is the end game… what is the end game?
permanent occupation of Minn? Even the gutless Supreme
court can’t be ok with a military occupation of a city or state?

Which leads us to the next administration goal…
which is to cancel the 2026 elections and this is as good
a way as any… the GOP is going to get destroyed in the
next elections and pretty much everyone knows it…
Hence the illegal occupation of Minn… it’s an opening
attack on the next election… buckle up, kids, this is
going to get even more ugly, more than it already is
Kropotkin? Yep…

For reasons known, it was ordered by Putin, that we are facing
a civil war… and by invading American cities and states, is
one excellent way to bring about this civil war…

We are now fighting for our very existence as a country…
are we to be a dictatorship or are we to be a democracy?
that is the question…

Why do Some here [conveniently] omit the reason why ICE are in Minnesota?

I would like you to make the justification that every time
fraud is involved, we need to take military action, not
legal or judicial action, but military action…

How does the act of fraud, justify the military invasion
of a city/state? There is absolutely no connection between
the two… and if in the case of fraud, that there is a justification
for military force, then when Rick Scott, current senator of
Florida, was indicted and convicted of Medicare fraud,
then would the Federal government have been justified to
militarily invade Florida?

There is no way to justify or connect the two events,
fraud and military intervention…

Seems like almost yesterday the BLM riots torched half the city of Minneapolis on fire but according to Peter Kropotkin we shouldn’t do anything because of feelings where we should let rioters just do whatever they want.

Liberals are funny that way.

K: two points, one, half of Minneapolis? your evidence for this,
and mind you, a police officer was convicted of setting fires to
places of business and then pretending that BLM did it…

Two: where I have ever, ever said that we shouldn’t do anything
because it might hurt the feeling of rioters… I would like you
to show me the exact statement where I said this…

so, as usual, making shit up…
You are truly miscast in a philosophy website, when you should
be writing novels or plays… you know where you can make
shit up and be paid for it… think about it…

Yes, sounds like you want nationwide riots all over again in your ideological driven belief that there should be no national borders, no limitations on foreign immigration, and your insipid belief that nation states should be abolished.

The good obedient one world government enthusiasts that call themselves liberal.

and making more shit up… please, for the love of god
turn to writing fiction instead of making up shit here…

Where were all these ‘protesters’ when the United States of Arseholes was invading the Middle East and slaughtering muslims in their own countries by the millions? Anyone else remember Hillary Clinton laughing hysterically over the public torture and murder of Gaddafi? The hunting down and public execution of Saddam Hussein and destruction of his country?

Open borders, abolishing of nation states, unlimited foreign immigration, and world government. You don’t deny any of it, we both know why, don’t we?

I was on the corner, protesting Obama allowing Christians to be slaughtered over there. Still have the shirt.

Trump‘s use of ICE and the National Guard (& etc) reminds me of Hitler’s brown shirts (storm troopers).

For me, the irony (hyperbole) is that someone who isn’t even allowed to own a weapon due to being a felon has the entire United States military at their disposal—is in fact their commander-in-chief.

I said when YOU were slaughtering MUSLIMS in their own countries. That’s something that YOU could have actually done something about. Instead you called your military ‘heroes’ and still do. Americans always ‘protest’ about stupid things.

…slaughtering Christians is stupid stuff? Ew.

Well I’ve said what I had to say^ … regardless how you like to frame it in your fantasy land.

Muting thread.

So your country slaughters christians in the ME as well as muslims? I didn’t know that. Well good for you then for protesting about your own military slaughtering christians.

I agree, there are huge fraud schemes going on. But does that justify what ICE is doing?

Stopping people on the street and demanding to know if they are an American citizen, demanding to see an ID card. Armed government agents on the streets asking people “show me your papers”, where have we seen that before and how did that end?

The estimated fraud and subsequent fallout from it, including funding terror groups.

Federal prosecutors estimate that fraud in Minnesota programs, largely stemming from pandemic-era funds for childcare and food, could exceed

$9 billion, with investigations targeting over a dozen Medicaid-funded programs and involving fake facilities, fraudulent billing, and potentially funding terrorism. This staggering figure emerged from ongoing investigations into a massive scandal that began with the “Feeding Our Future” case and has expanded to encompass broad systemic fraud within state-administered federal benefits.

Key Details:

  • Scale of Fraud: The estimated figure of over $9 billion represents a significant portion of $18 billion in federal funds for Minnesota programs, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
  • Programs Affected: Investigations cover multiple areas, including:
    • Childcare: Fake facilities and fraudulent billing for non-existent services.
    • Food Programs: Misuse of funds intended for child nutrition during the pandemic.
    • Autism Therapy: Allegations of recruiting children for fake therapy services with kickbacks.
  • Federal & State Response: Federal agencies like the FBI and Treasury are heavily involved, with the USDA suspending funds and the state implementing new guardrails, though critics question the pace of action.
  • Allegations: Some funds were allegedly sent overseas or to terror groups, and a viral video brought national attention to the issue, according to sources like the New York Times and the Republican Study Committee.

The yearly overall-fraud figures, noting that fraud losses have surged a whopping 742% since 2018 for consumer fraud.. and government fraud is in the hundreds of billions.

The overall fraud amount in America varies by source, but recent data shows consumers lost over $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, with investment scams being the largest category, while government losses to fraud and improper payments are vastly higher, estimated at hundreds of billions annually. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reported $12.7 billion in consumer losses for 2024, a significant jump from previous years, with investment scams accounting for over $5.7 billion.

Consumer Fraud (FTC Data)

  • Total Losses (2024): Over $12.7 billion, up from $10.4 billion in 2023.
  • Top Categories:
    • Investment Scams: $5.7 billion.
    • Imposter Scams: $2.95 billion (including government imposter scams).
  • Payment Methods: Bank transfers and crypto were major loss areas, while credit cards were most frequently used in reports.

Government Fraud (GAO Data)

Key Takeaways

  • Underreporting: The actual amount lost to fraud is likely much higher, as many victims don’t report it.
  • Rising Trend: Fraud losses have surged dramatically, with a 742% increase since 2018 for consumer fraud.
  • Sophistication: Scams are becoming more sophisticated, especially with AI, impacting all age groups, though older adults often face higher median losses.
