Mistakes are not failure, but simply shortcuts to advancement. If you choose to learn from them.
Failure is through not trying or giving up, perhaps not finishing. But is not having enough time to finish failure, well I would say no because they didn’t not finish because they wanted to not finish, but because they could not finish.
Mistakes are trial and error in a sense. We can learn from our own mistakes through our own experiences, or learn from past or other mistakes and experiences, this is the power of the mind, to be able to imagine. This is why history is important, to learn the mistakes so that we may not repeat them again.
Furthermore, we can learn from the mistakes of others, and let others learn from our mistakes.
We’re born in ignorance and it’s expected that we’re gonna mess up, but truth doesn’t die, and through mistakes, we get closer to that truth - or refine it further.
Making mistakes can often be painful, and putting oneself in a position susceptible to adversity / pain, is a brave act.
Most of the time mistakes are painful. I had made mistakes before (Who doesn’t?), they were nothing but painful. I learned from them though, I was forced to learn from them. If I had not I would be comfortable without pain that I had to endure, this is how you can prove life is not all about comforts and pleasure, because only through pain and mistakes do we learn and travel further, further towards truth. You are right, also that is a good quote.
Why I have a quote in my signature, well not really a quote but something i’ve said a long time. I am sure it has been concluded a long ago by tons of others, regardless of my saying it. “Truth is pain, pain is gain.”
