People don’t want to change the world and that is obvious by their hypocrisy in all their actions of everything they do.
Modern philosophers constantly find new ways of inventing insidious forms of morality to enslave the majority so that the small elite can prosper.
Modern philosophers constantly invent new platonic ideals in politics to fool the masses.
Modern philosophers talk about people’s suffering but look the other way when one of the down trodden come on their front doorsteps.
Modern philosophers talk about a future utopia while they ravage the current world in creating a global hell.
Modern philosophers say that all of humanity’s form of technology and tools are forever natural but when criticism comes on the account of human ingenuity where one sees the destructive effects on our planet such men will form millions of insidious elaborate excuses.
I for one shall for now on pray for astroids, supernovas, tidal waves and global volcanoes to obliterate the human race. We humans don’t deserve to live.
( Joker has left the building of philosophy for other pursuits that make much more sense.)
Please name the modern (current) philosophers who do these “dirty deeds, done dirt cheap”. The word “bastard” can be used to describe an irregular file or an illgitimate human being. The latter description comes to us from religious assholes and states that cowtow to them.
That’s too broad a definition to be debated. If you really knew me, I’m the least sophist of many here. I suspect you take umbrage at my suggestions that you learn to write well, so as to be understood. Whoever is unable to take constructive criticism is really too egocentric to espouse opinions others should consider. I cared enough to try to show you what others would object to about your writings. This from having been there/done that.
No worries, philosophy only brings us closer to the brink. Humans are not enamored of reasoning, and anything that might be ameliorating to the mind ends up in a social misfit niche, categorised as “boorish, aloof, and elitist” … especially if it requires any discipline whatsoever to reach the apex.
Just wait for it Joker, the Universe has a strange habituation of showing its utter lack of passion and concern for the living.
If time doesn’t avail us, then impending nuke-u-lar strikes are always an option.
Well (in seriousness) I do like the idea of a “fighting philosopher” and one thats concerned with real material change…
There was this fecker once what was his name…?
The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it.
Marx was one of the last philosophers of the century that made any sense to me and I respect him historically.
Today’s philosopher is not one of action or of any helpful contribution to the human race but instead lays prostrated as a mouth piece for the government who employs their services of constructing elaborate excuses and lies to fool the masses daily.
I despise optimistic people as they are the first people to be fooled not to mention the first recruits in killing others for a ideal.
Give me a good pessimist and a nihilist human being as they are some of the most honest people that I have ever met.
Have you ever wondered deep down inside yourself that behind every act of human slavery and oppression in history there is always a optimistic oppressor chasing fantastical dreams of human progress or ingenuity with the cost of other people’s lives?
This gives me a whole new definition of reality when I say moral propositions are the root cause of all human suffering.
I’m thinking about it. I know many here think that I’m either insane or at best a irritating thorn to conventional philosophy. ( Their philosophy.)
Not to mention there is a annoying moralist here ( I won’t mention any names.) who I can’t stand because their BS stinks so much unto being nauseating.
I fully understand and empathise, being rather a misanthrope myself.
One problem with your perspective though. Even if it is possible to destroy morality/moral systems, humans are beings of unending habituation; we would just create a new system with a different name, that was an exact replication of the previous system.
Human nature does not change my friend, even the history we have lost would tell this same story.
