Monadology question--need help, PLEASE!

My professor wants us to write a 8+ page essay based on this:

Leibniz characterizes monads as perceptual atoms, as opposed to material atoms. More specifically, Leibniz identifies the nature of monads with their capacity to represent reality.

As human beings, we constantly represent things we see around us, by means of our imagination and language. We also misrepresent things, due to the limitations of our senses and memory.

Do Leibniz’s monads analogously misrepresent reality?

Now, I don’t even understand the question (I think I do but I’m not sure). I don’t have any idea what he wants. Can anyone give me a hand? I don’t want you to write the essay for me of course, I just want to be pointed in the right direction (a few examples if you could).

Please?

(Normally I’d just go to the professor to get help, but when I mentioned to him that I was having a hard time with the paper he just said “so?!” Very unapproachable.)

I’m afraid i don’t think we can offer you help, its just not what we do here.
Usually we after happy to comment on completed essays and papers.
