Dennis Rodman came out in support of Donald Trump… it’s really hard to play the race game this time around. Think most people know there is a difference between building a wall to keep out illegals, and people who are citizens here. My ancestors are Pennsylvania Dutch, we didn’t feel squeezed out or repressed during WW1 or WW2. Its no different today… if your a Muslim in America, no candidate is after you, unless your a member of a notorious mosque FBI keeps getting Intel on… but this goes for crazy Christian churches, which almost certainly outnumber mosques, or athirst groups, such as Joker’s hypothetical group, obviously it would be monitored. Doesn’t mean there is a war on whites or crazy bushmen.
I’m amazed enough people fall for these arguments. I hate it when we have groups voting on the basis of racial prejudice, be it KKK or Black Panthers, it seems like a waste of democracy to me. Should be one man per vote, and they should consider who they want on the candidates merits, preferably from seeing each side…
I don’t want to go to a Trump rally, but would hardly be shocked to see blacks there. I recall when I was stationed in Alaska, while Sarah Palin was still governor, the retired guys who ran the state Republican party were all black. Was shocking to me then because I accepted the left’s stereotype still then, but they made it clear they had their own damn opinions and outlook, and they are more or less in charge of the show up there. I think you’ll see this increasingly across the nation. Eventually blacks are going to diversify across the country, not vote just for Democrats, but for the parties and independents who get out there and win them over.
There is no damn reason why a whole race should vote blindly as a bloc, known 12 years in advance which party they will uniformly vote for… that’s the disturbing thing. But I’m seeing this less and less a issue each election, more and more ate taking elections and politics seriously, getting a feel for candidates. It really is how it should be ideally. I don’t want to see race as a devisive issue… but if it is, at least think logically about it… maybe electing the same whites from the old slave owner party to continue funding your slums and unemployment is a stupid thing to do… after a hundred years of this bullshit, I would take a chance in shaking things up by campaigning for someone else… doesn’t have to be Republican… could be a different party on the state level nobody ever heard of… you yourself can run, whatever… don’t be the umpthteenth generation to fall for that same old scam again. Civil War set men free, but you gotta be proactive and jealous of your rights, constantly examining society and making pushes to better it if you want to be fully American. If you don’t do this, whatever your race or economic status is, your a slave. If you make a effort to be heard, to encourage change, your more likely to effect change. This is best done when you keep politicians on a shirt leash. When you demand better reporting from the media (this clip in the OP is embarrassing).
I really am tired of hearing about race. I want to hear about America, our communities, ideas. I live in a mixed neighborhood, black issues really aren’t different from white here. Less drugs, better police, fix the potholes, end corruption. It be really fucked up if all blacks voted for Democrats, and everyone else voted more spread out. I don’t think this occurs that much here anymore unless your newly arrived from another state. Politics is taken increasingly more seriously here.
