Mundane Bubbles

Look! There’s siatd, gobbo, Tabula, The Adlerian, my good self, embracetrees, detrop, Gamer…and many many more…

I like it

We all pop every once and a while… such is the nature of us, and of bubbles.

The ethereal nature of the bubble should serve to remind us of our own impermanence. Life would be much cleaner if we all excepted this analogy and lived lightly…

o, I’ve just spotted Bessy, Ben and a few others…in that picture…

Is this your existentialist period?

the existential is not a period. it is perhaps better understood as a ‘condition’ of reality…as a condition of experience…

i am, at most, an experientialist.

Colin,

‘Lived lightly’ - I thought that you were a Nietzschean when it came to such matters? Surely he’d argue that life is a cycle between the light and heavy (if you like Bill n Ted metaphors, which I do)?

Sure - life and experience - cut both ways…but, as Nietzsche says in his introduction in ‘Twilight of the Idols’

‘To stay cheerful when invovled in a gloomy and exceedingly responsible business is no inconsiderable art: yet what could be more necessary than cheerfulness?’

the bubbles where a reminder to stay cheerful
midts the sure brutal continutation of the life thing…

Colin,

Even in your sometimes clumsy use of words you find a casual beauty. Don’t ever give up writing…

 I LOVE BUBBLES!

I’m the big one with the funny-shaped bottom.

you have a funny-shaped bottom?

Hello F(r)iends,

It’s scary how you and I think alike…
Phaedrus was right… I am you!

   =D>

Doesn’t everyone…?

Simone de Beauvoir doesn’t…

Why do I get the feeling you’re being sarcastic?

I’m not…

You get that impression because you, like me, don’t take compliments well.

You did ask…

Ha, ha…i think you might have a point there…

I’m the chubby one high on the top left, whose head is cut off by the edge of the photo…
