I’m less sure there are more whackos killing any particular group than I am that there are way too many news organizations without any news… We see more of this crap because violence is a way to win a time slot. Check out ET some night and listen to ten minutes of this star has a hangnail… boo hoo.
I think there is a pattern as well, but I’m still trying to flesh out some of the variables bouncing around in my head at this point. Here are some hot points:
I think someone already mentioned the oversaturated news rags stinking up every communication stream imaginable. That’s one hot point I’m toying with.
The internet. Yes, I know, this seems like a self explanatory duh … and it just might be.
Social/societal interactions (that whole upbringing and its attendant socio/psycho/physio quirks.
So, yes, I’m looking forward to making some stuff up … er, I mean, formulating some theories. I’ll try to search the net, watch some television, and listen to the radio for any corresponding patterns (aren’t patterns usually corresponding?) I can use as examples.
There seems to be an overwhelming number of murders focused on women in the US.
Also, it seems that in certain odd crimes like school shootings, the first act creates a “will to power” in the minds of I suppose copycat killers. I imagine that the copycats harbor fantasies of killing people in the same manner as the first person and are inspired to follow.
The question of why women and children are so frequently the target of usually, sadistic, murder is a question well worth looking into. Doing it in an honest manner should be the main focus.
Well, this probably has to do with sexual frustration.
The psycho is unable to satisfy his mating instinct and also is unable to think normally, eventually pressure builds then he explodes himself out at the problem, which exists inside of himself but also appears to have something to do with his objects of desire, so he destroys both.
I think that you’re on to something, but I think that under the sexual stuff is an issue related to love.
It seems that the content of films, books, and most stories contain a lot of information about women loving/saving/helping out guys that are good, and being sexy in the process. I can’t imagine that this doesn’t set many a western male for disappointment. Certainly, there’s a range of disappointment that goes from extreme reaction to people that recover well, but that’s another topic.
I see many of these crimes as a punishment against women rather than a hatred. This also seems to be the case with the students that kill classmates. They appear to be sad about the people they kill than entirely hateful of them.
I suspect that these acts are due to a lack of a supportive community. People don’t know each other very well and are forced to operate on fantasies of how others should behave, and when relationships do occur they are based on exchange principles related to capitalism. So, women become fantasy objects of love and then suddenly reduced to a purchase. That creates sadness and anger.
This was so fked up! a 7 year old girl who was in the class died the next day! What the fk did she have to do with what happened to this fker 12 year ago! What the fk is going on, I’m so fking pissed off about all this bullst. First the thing up in Bailey, now all this s**t, wtf!
That’s how I felt, and I believe that if the first case triggered another, then there must be many more to trigger, and even more than that that that are close in thinking but won’t be triggered.
did you guys here about the one at englewood high school (in colorado, near denver). a kid was arrested after saying he was going to shoot up the school then being expelled for causing trouble and showing up back around the school. some kids reported him and the cops showed up and found a gun with lotts of amunition in his car. then they looked through his house and found multiple bombs and more guns.
