Murphys law

the only thing that can happen will happen, what’s possible will happen- me

this is the same as linear dynamics…

the only way that door closed is because it was possible, literally… mathmatically

.
The only thing that can happen, may or may not happen… depending.

…depending on pertinent variables occurrences and happenstance… for nothing is set in stone, unless we really want it to be.

the universe is deterministic, it’s also efficient proof of itself (it’s own order) because it is prudently cause and effect. The only thing that can ever happen is what’s possible, which is a small coordinate of mathematical, not probability, but deterministic and mathematical values already not just set in motion but already substantiated down to there microscopic and quantum valuations already in effect as you breath, down to the tiny variables in the breakfast menu in front of you balanced on the edge of the table and the only way it will fall is if those variables are favor of it based on actions set in motion long before this date and variables prior to that… what can happen is absolutely the logical equivalent of what can go wrong, its also saying and everything in between

I think Murphy’s law is more about the psychological confirmation bias we have for noticing more meaningful changes and discounting or failing to acknowledge less meaningful changes. A ton of good or neutral things might occur over a span of time, but then one bad thing will occur; we will focus on the bad thing, notice it, and then say “ah, that’s Murphy’s Law! The bad things that are possible will happen!” …without realizing the tons of other bad things that might have happened but never did occur.

And we are philosophically-psychologically biased toward noticing bad things over good things. Why? Because as one philosopher put it, we notice the bad because we are compelled to, while noticing the good is a choice.

The variable of time/change, making all things contingent.

What can go wrong is couched in the greatest (best of all) possible worlds, if you take all times t as a whole. But first… define wrong. ;^) Reference: Best.

I think what you say regarding a bias nature and humans may be right, what can happen will happen may be a greater initiative then

Yes, what can happen will happen, but ONLY in this frame:… what can happen is limited by being couched within the greatest possible whole.
