Music

Music

Music in its Sunday pants,
Music in its tennis shoes–
It’s all good for play and dance–
Gospel, pop, rock, jazz and blues.

Rhythm from a human heart.
Rhythm from your walking feet–
Babies have it from the start.
Everybody lives the beat.

Music in the sound of moods,
Rhythm from the time we use–
It’s all good since love includes
Gospel, pop, rock, jazz and blues.

Good rhymes, good times…

I’d fix the meter to be more canonical if I were you, unless that was your intent to go off beat. Aside from that, I like it… makes for a groovy song.

Thanks, Sagesound,
The poem was born today. It won’t be finished until I’m dead. I’m still revising poems from 40 years ago. Nothing creative is ever really finished. Sometimes we have to settle for all we can do with an idea.
