My Cat

This is my first attempt at photography, I have photographed other things but this was the only one I printed out.
I had to scan it so thats why there’s extra space, might be lower quality.

The subject of the photo is obviously my beautiful cat Simba

Do you like?

By the way can anyone identify his breed, I just can’t figure it out, he’s definitely a mix, a long hair but not with one of the ugly faces, he’s perfectly beautiful.

That is one fine unit of CAT, and one great picture  Breed? Who cares! Make up your own breed! Hooray!

I LOVE

Thank you both.

I am distinctly not hungry when looking at this picture, perhaps I’ll post my feline counterpart.

It’s a purrfect feline fotograf, but some constructive crit:

it might look better if you got in the cats ears and a little more of the chin, i love the cat so much that i want to see it in its entirety

i like it. If I was in the philippines I’d like it even more

Is he a hunter?

It would help if you showed more imagination with your photography.

Oh yes, he roams around outside all day and comes inside to sleep and eat.
He is declawed but he still manages to come up with something every now and again.

How do you mean?

Well, as uncouth and illiterate this may sound, I am constantly tempted to say: “Yes, but it’s just a cat.” Surely, I do not want to sound rude and I will explain myself: I see cats every day (well, almost every day) and I generally know what a cat looks like. But, while I can anticipate that you are fondly affectionate of your feline pet, I really can’t see how this is reflected in your photo. I too have.numerous family photographs, which I care for, but I don’t consider them art. They are informative, in the sense that they supply the presence of a loved one. In my opinion, the photo lacks a appeal – it is not something I can relate to. Maybe I am a bad critic, maybe you were an uninspired photographer at the time, who knoes ? But it is settled that this is the Visual Art forum, not the Visual Reproduction one.

Well thank you for your constructive criticism, don’t worry, I don’t think myself to be a photographer.
What I liked about my picture was the angle of it mainly, I mean…I don’t know how else to photograph an animal.
