My ILP Christmas List

Getting in there early - if any of you wonderful people at ILP fancy purchasing a Christmas present for my in return for my attempts at sophisticated entertainment then the following is a list of things I’d love to own:

Peep Show Series 2 - an innovative British sitcom principally shot on headcams and which uses voice-overs to allow you to hear the thoughts of the protagonists

Absolute Power Series 1 - A sitcom set in a PR firm starring Steven Fry

Quantum Leap (any season) - sci-fi adventure series which taught me everything I need to know about physics

Yes Minister (any season except the first of Yes, Prime Minister) - sitcom set in the offices of Whitehall.

Wild Things - incomparably good teen flick which makes ample use of Denise Richards’ talents. Lost my copy.

The Last Broadcast - pre Blair Witch ‘realist’ satire. Lost my copy.

Ghostwritten - novel by David Mitchell. I love his other work so I’ll probably love this.

Screen Burn - selection of TV reviews by the hilarious Charlie Brooker

Just about any movie with Jimmy Stewart in it

Of course I’m not expecting to get any of these, I’m just trying to gazump all of you who’d thought about doing a similar thing…

Damn you - I was going to do this very thing on Dec 1 - Christmas… Tch - comes earlier and earlier every year.

Consider yourself gazumped.

A better list would be one where you buy gifts for others at ILP… as a joke of course.

For example, I would buy Pax Vitae a pocket cunt for christmas.

Just to cut down on his travel expenses.

a pocket cunt

I love the way that sounds. Say it to yourself.

he scratched when the 8 ball went into the corner pocket cunt…
