Me and a bunch of my friends build and hotrod mustangs. Most of us are mechanics. We all have different specialties. Mine is driveablity, building rearends, and turbos. I have friends who specialize in heads, transmissions, AC systems, and doing hop up chips. We share our information freely with one another. There is one among us who has half a million dollars, and knows very little about cars. He has over 35,000 in his 90 GT, and is slower and doesnst run or look as good as my 92 GT. He seems obsessed with beating other people. (I have just over 5,000 in mine.) The reason I am bringing this up, is I have friends at ford dealerships, and I have a working password to FMC dealer, Fords database which has every piece of information you could ever need to diagnose and repair any Ford model. I could share this with everyone, and even further, what if I had a friend at every dealership, and passwords to all the manufacturers databases? What if I shared these with everyone? What would happen? Would I be doing anything morally wrong? The reason I am thinking about this, is I see what withholding information has done to our world, but what would happen if we do the opposite? Who would be upset at this?
the only people who would get mad at you are the owners of the information… mechanics et al who would no longer be able to monopolize the ford business…
the company as well as the unions might be ticked…

but morally speaking, that depends on which set of morals you use to judge…

Yes, if you have a communist mentality then go right ahead, but remember that you live in a capitalist country.
However, if you believe in ownership and that info is owned as well, then you shouldn’t do it because it’s stealing.
