Too late. Time to move on. Trump is in the process of instigating an autocratic police state. So political party affiliation is irrelevant. This is a matter of the survival and recovery of small d democracy. If you’re for that then you need to resist what Trump is doing.
RUN AWAY RUN AWAY.
You know damn well that half that list with which you trduced California with is either exaggeration, lies, and would be better directed at RED STATES.
For example Red state are far more prone to “illicite drug use” and remain a massive drain on the Federal spending on constrast to California which is the HIGHEST contributor to the Federal Budget.
Like I said, I don’t wanna get into a pointless discussion. However, are you saying that because they tax the hell out of legal cannabis? Are you saying those taxes go to the federal government and not the state or more local government/municipality? It’s no wonder we still have black market weed.
Her statement contains some truths—such as California’s sanctuary policies and the presence of drag queen story hours—but also significant exaggerations and inaccuracies, especially regarding abortion laws, property taxes, and the scope of drug legalisation.
California law only allows abortion up until fetal viability, generally considered around 24 weeks, unless the mother’s life or health is at risk. There is no legal provision allowing abortion “after birth.” In fact, any infant born alive after an abortion is legally protected and must receive medical care, as required by both federal and state law.

California is a sanctuary state, meaning it limits cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities in most cases, except for serious crimes. This does not mean illegal immigration is “allowed,” but the state provides certain protections for undocumented immigrants.

How California Sanctuary Policies Are Faring Under Pressure From Trump - The New York Times
California legalized recreational marijuana for adults in 2016. However, most other recreational drugs remain illegal. Only marijuana is decriminalized for recreational use.

California has statewide rent control laws (AB 1482) that cap annual rent increases for many properties, though there are exemptions and some loopholes. Tenants have legal protections against retaliatory evictions, and there are legal aid organizations, but access to legal representation is not universal. Section 8 vouchers and other programs exist to assist low-income renters, but these do not equate to “unchecked rent gouging.”
California has strict smog regulations and vehicle registration can be expensive compared to some other states, reflecting the state’s environmental policies and cost of living.
California’s property tax rates are actually limited by Proposition 13, which caps property taxes at 1% of assessed value, with limited annual increases. While home prices are high, the tax rate itself is not unusually high compared to other states.
California often leads in progressive policy adoption, and some policies do influence other states, but not all trends start in California or are universally adopted elsewhere.
What are you gibbering on about.
Trump is distracting you.
I’m puzzled why you think any of this is relevant to imposing martial law?
WHy is it relevant to unmarked vans full on masked men with guns paking up kidnapping school children without due process.
She worries about the remote chance of hetero-men masquerading as trans women to invade bathrooms. LOL But SERIOUSLY?? Pardoned JanSIXERS are in those unmarked vans kidnapping women and children..
I was confirming or disputing the claims made by another poster. Nothing else. Stand down!
What… is that? Are those all yours? Why in the world?
That phone bank is one of the means by which Trump won the election.
Additionally manipulating the agenda, and engineering what you see through a computer program called the algorithm.
This is why you think that you list might be appropriate to post as an apology for matrial law in LA.
And why you have run away when several posters have confronted your support of that list..
Can I ask you where you got that list?
Can I ask you where you live?
That’s an interesting allegation. It would explain why they are wearing masks. I’ve been wondering when the pardoned Jan sixers would resurface as Trump’s brown-shirted paramilitary thugs.
And then there’s this from Mother Jones: On Saturday, as locals opposed to the federal immigration raids clashed with law enforcement in Los Angeles County, President Donald Trump took to Truth Socialto disparage the “Radical Left” protesters, and added that “from now on MASKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED at protests.” He went even further on Sunday, calling for the immediate arrest of masked demonstrators. The irony is hard to overstate, given that the protests were driven, in part, by footage of masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents snatching people off the street.“
It wasn’t a justification for martial law, one. It was accurate, two. I live in California, three.
I can go through your list to show you why it was a stupid response to my original question and made you look absurd. But I do not think you are in a postion to receive comment.
I asked you WHERE you got the list, not whether or not it is accurate.
To remind you.
I remarked that ICE was targetting BLUE STATES, you said…
Pretty sure it’s the blue states that make themselves targets because they allow certain things that red states don’t.
And then gave your absurd list.
ICE agents, particularly those in Enforcement and Removal Operations, often conduct their duties using unmarked vehicles and wear tactical gear without visible rank insignia or badge numbers. While they are supposed to carry identification, it is rarely shown during operations. They frequently operate without judicial warrants, instead relying on internal administrative warrants signed by ICE supervisors, which do not authorize entry into homes without consent and are not legally binding on third parties. THese restriction are routinely flouted and ignored.
ICE practices may violate constitutional law—specifically the Fourth Amendment, which protects against unreasonable searches and seizures. The Fourth Amendment requires that law enforcement obtain a judicial warrant, signed by a neutral magistrate, before entering a private residence. ICE, however, often uses administrative warrants signed by its own supervisors, not by judges. These warrants do not authorize entry into homes without consent and are not legally binding on third parties. When ICE agents enter homes using only these administrative warrants, or secure entry through confusion or coercion, they may be violating constitutional protections. Additionally, while the failure of agents to clearly identify themselves may not constitute a direct constitutional violation, it undermines transparency and due process and may contribute to coercive encounters—particularly among immigrants unfamiliar with their rights. Civil rights organizations have challenged these practices in court, and in several rulings, courts have found that warrantless home entries by ICE agents using administrative warrants are unconstitutional under the Fourth Amendment.
TRUMP looks on and NOTHING happens.
The USA is in a state of military dictatorship.
I got the list from lived experience or prior research. points at noggin I pulled it straight out of my ass. From memory.
As requested!

My opinion is, I do not support what Trump is doing. My logic is pristine.
In debate, there must be winners and losers. Those with valiant opinions must be rewarded for their opinions. There cannot be people coming to the debate with “trump is good”, expecting to win the debate automatically. That is what I feel debate has become, no longer a “debate”, but, someone with an opinion already fixed in stone, hoping to convince the other…
Now here’s for the pristine logic. First of all, Elon said to vote Trump because “democrats are a threat to democracy and there would be no more democracy because of democrats using immigrants to rig elections”. However, there is new evidence that Trump cheated and rigged the election, to sabotage democracy, which invalidates any reason to have voted for him in the first place.
Second thing is, immigration used to be more open in the 1900s, and now it is too difficult to get a green card. So I ask is any of this really worth it, is it worth martial law, is it worth risking civil war, just to kick out some immigrants. Would you hand Trump the world, would you risk collapsing America, just to kick some immigrants. My guess is, the majority of Republicans, if they remained rational, they would see that no, it is not worth it, it would totally defeat the whole concept of what they were after in the first place.
As for drag queen story time, its in every state, and most kids seem to like it. Kids gather round and beg their parents to be allowed to attend. Religious adults gather around and protest. Again I ask would you risk civil war and martial law because of your religion. That is what I ask.
Now finally I believe this is one of my more salient points and nails in the coffin. If California is some type of crooked Capitalism with too high rents, which it is, shouldn’t the first people we kick out of California be the Capitalists, the wealthy, I think so. If Trump truly cared about this nation he would leave well enough alone, not risk civil war and martial law just to kick out a few illegals.
Now I will add an additional point. There are already Mexicans here and in the language, when you call on the phone you hear it in Spanish. I believe border countries, Mexico and Canada should have easier green card access and countries not touching directly should have more restricted levels of access. This would not add infrastructure bloat such as adding more languages on the phone, except for Quebec and we should not add French in my opinion as it is more bloat.
Drag—men dressing as women for performance—dates back over 2,000 years. It began in ancient Greek, Roman, Chinese, and Japanese theater, where men played all roles. In Shakespeare’s time, boys played female parts. Modern drag emerged in 19th-century vaudeville and became tied to LGBTQ+ culture in the 20th century.
THere is not a SINGLE CASE where any young person has been harmed or turned by this practice.
This is just yet another distraction. A weaponisation by which the people are divided against themselves why the rich contonue to plunder the economy.
Trump’s so called “Big Beatiful Bill” will continue to impoverish the people in favour of the fat cats getting yet another tax break with the deficit on the on the increase.
THE US deficit is increasing by $1,000,000,000,000 every 180 days.
That’s $3.86 million per minute.
And Trump just ramped it up by LOOTING more for billionaries.
If you want to see a discussion from the other side of the pond..
One view fro the left one from the right..
Treat yourself to the first half hour. It shows what it looks like from outside OBJECTIVELY (or objective in the sense that these are immune from the US algorithm.)

I can’t believe that he rated Trump 50/50 on sexism and added “I don’t think it’s really a big thing for him. He’s either joking or misinformed. Trump literally checks off 13 and attempted to steal a legitimate election in 2020. I’m expect he will attempt to manipulate the 2026 election or shut it down altogether because of continuing national chaos which he is sowing now.
He gets 14/14. The best test results he’s ever had in his life.
