My theory on how the mind creates words/sentences..

:-k There is a program on the net called visual thesurus visualthesurus.com. The core word is surrounded by synonyms. My theory is when writing, the mind selects the core point word and when in the sentence, the mind relates a word, to that sentence as it is being written horizontally.Thoughts please. pljames

Interesting - I think that we learn in English, to think from left to right- a learned horizontonality? I mindmap frequently, even when planning menus, and the first thought I have always goes to the right of the core word. Not surprisingly, it is often the thread I follow when developing a logical, lineal argument. But, conversely, when I am writing creatively, it is often the thoughts much more remote to the initial word that provide the seeds of the poetry of the language. An extremely interesting man I met recently has two distinctly different forms of handwriting which seem to relate to his logical/ creative minds.
