My solution on the national debt is a simple one. Less spending, more taxes. The only problem with this is that never in the history of the United States has a president decided to do nothing, all of them are concerned with their legacy and achieving visible progress. We need just one president to quell the flow of money to attempt to eradicate the debt. I’m also a huge advocate of supply-side economics, and this seems to totally contradict it. I would just like to know if anybody had some more feasible option/solutions?
You do realize that taxes and spending are the province of Congress and not the executive branch.
Yea but It doesn’t mean that the president doesn’t have the power to push it through the House of Representatives.Example, Obama wanted to revise health care, it was one of his top priorities. He pushed the health care bill through congress not even five months ago.
