We are fools if we don’t even notice the lines civilization uses to keep us apart. However we are fools if we believe civilization (the word or idea) is at fault.
I can not hang out with the rich because I am envious of their money.
Just as I can not hang out with the poor because they are envious of me.
I can not hang out with other races because I may not understand something and that can lead to fear, and hate amongst them toward me, or me toward them.
Like it or not, (Dont get me wrong, I don’t like it) But until we break the sins of envy, fear, hatred, misunderstanding. We will be SLAVES to Racial and economic Boundaries that extend from those basic wrong things I previously listed which probably left out a few things that I could not think of.
I think you are quite right, although I have had many life experiences that have helped me get past most of those. I think your realization of the truth is one step ahead of all those people who aren’t even aware of the differences.
Although, I think the next logical step for you would be to try to overcome these inadequacies to attain a more comprehensive understanding and equalibrium with the world around you.
Christianity would say the only one to break those characteristics that hold us down was jesus. I think hinduism or is it buddhasim would just call that self actualization.
But the point is, Those chains that bond us to seperation are hard to break. I could try but its one drop in the bucket. plus honestly I try to stay of the racial barrier as hard as I can. The ecenmic barrier is too hard to break. I mean Richer people treat poorer people that way because they are afraid of loosing. its self nature to be afraid to loose something. whether it be money or time.
All I can do is say ill try to break those identified chains, but it takes reveolutions and LARGE evolutions in civilization to change such things.
Which brings me to my NEWEST POST. “is civilization a tool of man? or is man a tool of civilization”[/u]
I think anyone can break the chains, they just have to want it bad enough. You say it’s one drop in the bucket, I like to think of it as one drop in a pond, soon the ripples reach the edge of the pond, having covered everything. You are right about the fear factors in reference to losing something, so there is your answer, you must train yourself to not fear losing anything. Have confidence, while at the same time detaching yourself from materialistic things so that if a circumstance comes up where there is nothing you could do to stop it, and you lost a material thing, it won’t bother you because you aren’t attached to it (emotionally).
being afraid to lose something is one thing, being angry or upset once that thing is lost is another, it’s not so bad to be afraid to lose something, what causes much of the hate and anger in the world is people dealing with the loss once it is gone and there isn’t anything that can be done about it. It’s possible not to be attached to a thing and still be afraid to lose it. But once it is gone, the person will not feel upset because it’s not worth their time, the thing is gone, there isn’t anything I can do about it, it would be stupid for me to dwell on it.
you say that it takes revolutions and large evolutions in civilization to change such things. I disagree, these changes don’t happen all at once, they begin with one man/woman. From there it is spread to their friends and loved ones. Then maybe they write a book or spread their view through some other medium, now more people know. One day something grand idea is realized in society and linked to this person idea and it becomes a revolutionary idea that changes things forever. BUT it starts with ONE person. The only question you have to ask youself is, do you want to be that person?
Then maybe they write a book or spread their view through some other medium, now more people know.
That my friend is the same way revolutions are started.
One leg at a time.
But you were right, its not loosing but dealing with loosing. Need a class on dealing with loosing something. Course then the death of a loved one would loose meaning.
Natural Selection doesn’t work in Society. Man has isolated himself from nature. Survival of the fitest. Only the best adapted to their environment survive and the lesser ones die off and usually end up becoming extinct. But in society everyone is fit enough to survive. If there is a change in a human that would better benefit mankind, all of mankind would not get this trait. He would be better adapted to the environment and more fit for survival. But if the forces of nature were at work on society then this new variety or maybe even this new species would beat out the rest of man to whatever is necessary for their survival. He would breed prodigiously and produce more of his kind and this new variety/species would take over and the lesser end of mankind would head toward extinction. But society insures the survival of the “lessers” (I don’t pretend to know who would fit into this group). Everyone is fit enough to survive. So instead of humanity becoming improved through natural selection, i think we all just stay at the same mean. All the beneficial genes are getting mixed in with the deterring genes.
that would be like putting a child in a room full of old coots who are obsessed with a book and are brainwashed by a book bad idea christians they freaky
im not saying satanists arent but at least theyre relaxed and proud of their religion not psychotic that they would’ve missed sunday school or forgot a paragraph in the bible that’s just extra pressure to be a christian i don’t like the fact thats why i’m not.
