Need an intro on alternative philosopher's ideas

Hello, I am new here, a student in philosophy at some university in Canada.

I have only done one semester, and generally, the program will be structured to some “traditional” philosophies. I had a few names in particular who I would like to get to know about that deal with philosophical topics in more radical ways. I was hoping that you guys could enlighten me on some ideas of the philosophers, to word them possibly in your words (despite excelling in school I have difficulty reading a text or even a wiki for a first time without proper explanation from someone). If your version is dumbed down because of lack of time, or because the view is too advanced, that works perfectly fine.

Notably, I was wondering about Schopenhauer’s pessimism, Nietzche and Wittgenstein (I have some knowledge of Carnap but not of Wittgenstein and how he differs from Carnap). Any associated names you would like to deal with I would happy to hear about. Feel free to add in a few names as well!

Thanks guys, let the discussions begin. (I will participate too, not only free-load)

One of Nietzsche’s major themes is the fact that man was reared by errors. But I will give you a catechism of his philosophy.

The feeling of responsibility- which is based on the error of the freedom of the will, was drawn inward to the point that it became instinct. This new instinct man named “conscience.”

This leads to the capacity for man to make promises. The simplest moralities, like the morality of custom, evolved out of this capacity. Here the “active power” of forgetting still regulates the human animal: there is no resentment for promises that have not been kept, that one has failed to uphold.

The master/slave dynamic began when men began to take advantage of this capacity for other means: namely, to invoke feelings of obligation in others, to deceive in order to gain power, things of that nature. The active power of forgetting becomes diseased: men “remember,” consequently, men “resent.”

But all of this, recall, is erroneous. A philosopher’s job, now, is to incorporate truths instead of errors- that is the only real question. The higher men, free spirits, and philosophers of the future are all designations of this being in whom the truth has been incorporated and made flesh.

I read your comment about how you think my parents should have bashed my head in as soon as they noticed my autism.

Do you advocate the same thing for all autistic children? What about Down’s syndrome and other forms of learning difficulty?

Are you a Nazi?

Just asking.

It was a joke, but since you asked, yeah, I do. I think retards should be killed at birth. Possibly with more grace than a simple skull-bashing, but hey, I won’t complain if that’s the best that can be done for them.

And no, I am not a Nazi. You see, if I was dictator, I would kill everyone. German, American, Jew, Mexican, retard, savant. Set all of them on a fucking pyre for all I give a shit.

It was a joke, but you do think it should have happened? Me having my head bashed in aged 5 that is.

You would kill ‘everyone’? Do you mean you would kill every human being including yourself? Is there anyone you wouldn’t kill?

There are people I would not kill. Let me put it to you like this, if I had a red button that would make every person I disliked or would dislike instantly drop dead, painlessly, I would press it. Without hesitation I would press it.

Fuck you people, if there is no God to judge you then I would happily do it myself.

So who would be left standing?

People like me.

People with antisocial personality disorder? You’d wipe each other out.

I’m not anti-social.

You are to Germans, Americans, Jews, Mexicans, retards and savants. And me.

Antisocial is a disorder. I just don’t like most of you fucking people. There is a difference. I am polite and social to people I like.
