I feel particularly productive and wish to translate this into a debate with a nihilist or someone willing to take a nihilistic perspective about a general topic regarding weather values exist, or that something matters, or that life is not meaningless, or that one lifestyle is preferable to another, or we can agree on a general definition of nihilism and you can argue for it.
I am also interested in the question of weather private property is a natural right, and wish to have a formal debate on the subject.
Preferred guidelines:
3 judges - we will agree on all three and it will be invite only.
Each writes an introduction and provides 4 follow up posts - more may be added if we feel it is required.
Introduction post must be more than 600 words and all follow up posts must be more than 250 words, but no post can exceed 2,500 words.
No outside quotes.
No outside involvement and no discussion of our topic until we have concluded our debate.
A poll asking everyone who won the debate will open after the debate is over, and will stay open for 48 hours.
I intend this to be a formal debate so I propose that we wait several days after the challenge is accepted to begin the debate. I also propose we allow up to 48 hours per post.
Your statement signifies that you don’t agree with yourself. When a person does not agree with themselves, which one is one actually arguing against?
Is it ever correct to use a relative term as if it were an absolute or absolute terms as if they are relative? Can you spot them in your own sentence constructions? It appears not.
If the use of words are important to being rationality, wouuld it not first be important to understand names? What are the three primitive categories of names? How are they arranged to form a definition? In such an arrangement, which categories can never be defined, but must be maintained by convention? What is the function of a description? What is the law of predication?
If these are not known, nor were ever known by a writer, what is the true significance of their written work? is it the product of a rational mind, or chance?
