But we don’t call it god
We spend our time with it; We need something it’s got
We’ve got issues about it; We think life without is not
Don’t feel alive without it; We feel so alone without it
We build our lives around it; Some can’t go home without it
O how we’d like it, want it, need it on a regular basis
Sometimes once a day…Five, ten minutes in some cases
We beg on it, borrow on it, experience grief and sorrow bout it
Ball up our face and cry, grow with it til we die.
But we don’t call it god. I think it’s a shame
we spend so much time with no spiritual gain.
Cause want you gotta have…the same is your god.
But we don’t see them as idols…Now isn’t that odd?
