Let’s say Obama got the PM lavish symbolic gifts, and made a great impression, keeping the Churchill bust and saying how much he liked it. What are the odds that the cited “news source”(a.k.a. slanted blog) would have criticized his wasteful spending, and attempted to incite fears that Obama wanted to replicated British economic and social reforms? Pretty high.
Look, the reason that no one’s covering this is because it isn’t a story. Obama’s present wasn’t good enough? I’d say that reflects worse on the Brits snobbishness, but then I’m biased in the opposite direction of the ‘article’ (a.k.a. blog entry). And he didn’t like the bust of the man under whose watch his grandfather was tortured? You don’t say.
